"हे माझे विद्यापीठ आहे" ही भावना जोपासा.....माननीय कुलगुरुंचे आवाहन
वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाचे माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.)
इन्द्र मणि यांनी कुलगुरू म्हणून यशस्वी चार वर्षांचा कार्यकाळ पूर्ण केल्याच्या
पार्श्वभूमीवर कृषि व संलग्न महाविद्यालयांतील पदवी (UG), पदव्युत्तर (PG) व पीएच.डी.
विद्यार्थ्यांसह प्राध्यापकांशी संवाद साधला. विद्यापीठाच्या शैक्षणिक, संशोधन, विस्तार शिक्षण, विद्यार्थी
कल्याण, संस्थात्मक विकास तसेच भविष्यातील वाटचालीसंदर्भात
विचारांची देवाणघेवाण करण्यासाठी कृषि महाविद्यालयाच्या सभागृहात या संवाद
कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.
या संवाद कार्यक्रमात विद्यापीठाच्या शैक्षणिक गुणवत्तावाढीसाठी, राष्ट्रीय अधिस्वीकृती (Accreditation) आणि मानांकन (रँकिंग) अधिक सक्षम करण्यासाठी आवश्यक उपाययोजना, विद्यार्थी व शिक्षकांच्या सूचना तसेच परस्पर हिताच्या विविध विषयांवर
सविस्तर चर्चा करण्यात आली.
कार्यक्रमात सर्व संचालक, मुख्यालयातील
आणि बाहेरील सर्व अधिष्ठाता, सहयोगी अधिष्ठाता, विभागप्रमुख, प्रभारी अधिकारी, विद्यार्थी प्रतिनिधी तसेच प्राध्यापकांनी माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.)
इन्द्र मणि यांच्या कार्याबद्दल कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करून त्यांचा यथोचित सत्कार केला.
यावेळी मार्गदर्शन करताना माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि म्हणाले
की, दिनांक २५ जुलै २०२२ रोजी जेव्हा
त्यांनी परभणीत पहिले पाऊल ठेवले, तेव्हा परभणीशी त्यांचे
कोणतेही नाते नव्हते आणि या परिसराविषयी फारशी माहितीही नव्हती. मात्र साधेपणा,
प्रामाणिकपणा आणि कठोर परिश्रम यांच्या बळावर विद्यापीठ व परभणीतील
जनतेशी एकरूप होण्यासाठी फारसा वेळ लागला नाही. आपले व्यक्तिमत्त्व सामाजिक
असल्यामुळे समाजातील विविध घटकांशी सहज संवाद साधता आला. यामध्ये परभणीतील
लोकप्रतिनिधी, शासकीय अधिकारी, सामाजिक
कार्यकर्ते, शेतकरी, विद्यार्थी तसेच
विद्यापीठातील अधिकारी व कर्मचारी यांचे मोठे सहकार्य लाभल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद
केले.
परभणीच्या सांस्कृतिक वैशिष्ट्यांचा उल्लेख करताना त्यांनी "जगात जर्मनी आणि भारतात परभणी" असे अभिमानाने
नमूद केले. परभणीची ओळख राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर अधिक दृढ व्हावी, यासाठी
केंद्रीय मंत्री, राष्ट्रीय पातळीवरील नामवंत शास्त्रज्ञ
तसेच विविध विभागांचे वरिष्ठ अधिकारी यांना विद्यापीठात निमंत्रित करण्यात आले. या
मान्यवरांनी परभणीबाबत अत्यंत सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त केल्याचे त्यांनी
सांगितले.
नेतृत्वाबाबत मार्गदर्शन करताना त्यांनी सांगितले की, नेतृत्व करताना अहंकार बाळगू नये किंवा पदाचा गर्व करू
नये. पद मिळाले म्हणजे आपण सर्वश्रेष्ठ किंवा सर्वज्ञानी झालो, असा समज करून घेऊ नये. पद ही समाजसेवा करण्याची एक संधी आहे, अशी भावना ठेवून सर्वांशी चर्चा करूनच निर्णय घ्यावेत. तसेच कोणत्याही
प्रकारच्या दबावाला बळी न पडता प्रामाणिकपणे व मेहनतीने कार्य करावे. "झिरो बार्गेनिंग पॉईंट" या तत्त्वाचे महत्त्व सांगताना त्यांनी "मला काम करू द्या" हा आपला कार्यमंत्र असल्याचे नमूद केले.
विद्यापीठात कार्यरत असताना एकदाही कोणत्याही प्रकारचा दबाव जाणवला नसल्याचे
त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले.
प्रत्येकाने आपल्या जबाबदारीची जाणीव ठेवून कोणत्याही आठवणीशिवाय काम
करण्याची वृत्ती विकसित करावी, स्वतःच्या
कार्यावर विश्वास ठेवावा आणि चांगली प्रतिमा निर्माण करण्यासाठी सातत्यपूर्ण
तपश्चर्या आवश्यक असते, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले. विद्यापीठात
केवळ ३२ टक्के मनुष्यबळावर अनेक उल्लेखनीय यश संपादन करता आले, ते सर्वांच्या सामूहिक इच्छाशक्ती, समर्पण आणि
परिश्रमामुळेच शक्य झाले असल्याचे त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले.
आपल्याला मिळालेल्या सहकार्याबद्दल त्यांनी परभणी ही आपली कर्मभूमी
असल्याचे सांगत येथील लोकप्रतिनिधी, वरिष्ठ
अधिकारी, जनसमुदाय, शेतकरी, विद्यार्थी तसेच विद्यापीठ परिवाराचे मनःपूर्वक आभार मानले.
सन २०२२ पूर्वीच्या कार्यापेक्षा मागील चार वर्षांत केलेल्या कार्यातून
दहापट अधिक समाधान मिळाल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले. पुढील चार वर्षांसाठीही सर्वांना
सोबत घेऊन नियोजनबद्ध कार्य करण्यात येईल, जेणेकरून
भविष्यातील प्रशासकीय अधिकाऱ्यांनाही कार्य करणे अधिक सुलभ होईल, असे त्यांनी सांगितले. कठोर परिश्रम, वेळेचे नियोजन
आणि समर्पण यांमुळे विद्यापीठाच्या अडचणी कमी झाल्या असून प्रत्येकाने "हे माझे विद्यापीठ आहे" ही भावना जोपासावी, असे
आवाहन त्यांनी केले. राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील संशोधन प्रकल्पांसाठी परभणी कृषि
विद्यापीठाला प्राधान्य दिले जात असल्याचाही त्यांनी उल्लेख केला.
संशोधन संचालक डॉ. भगवान आसेवार यांनी सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली विद्यापीठात संघभावना
व कार्यसंस्कृती अधिक बळकट झाली. त्यातून भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषदेकडून (ICAR-NAEAB)
'अ' दर्जाची अधिस्वीकृती मिळाली. तसेच NAHEP
प्रकल्पांतर्गत ५१ विद्यार्थ्यां व २४ अधिकारीचे परदेशी प्रशिक्षण,
सुमारे रु. १२५ कोटींचे संशोधन प्रकल्प, राष्ट्रीय
शैक्षणिक धोरणाची प्रभावी अंमलबजावणी, स्वयं (SWAYAM)
पोर्टलवरील उल्लेखनीय कार्य, IIRF रँकिंगमध्ये
महाराष्ट्रात प्रथम क्रमांक तसेच विद्यापीठातील अखिल भारतीय समन्वित संशोधन केंद्रांपैकी १०
केंद्रांनी देशात प्रथम क्रमांक मिळविल्याचा उल्लेख त्यांनी केला. मागील चार
वर्षांत संशोधन, शिक्षण आणि विस्तार शिक्षण क्षेत्रात
आमूलाग्र बदल घडून आला. याबरोबरच माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली कृषि
महाविद्यालय, गोळेगाव येथे कार्य करत असताना प्रयोगशाळेतील
साहित्यांचे आधुनिकीकरण, कायमस्वरूपी संग्रहालयाची उभारणी,
क्रीडांगणाचा विकास, सौर ऊर्जा प्रकल्पाची
स्थापना तसेच विद्यार्थ्यांच्या वाहतुकीसाठी नवीन बसची खरेदी करण्यात आली. सौर
ऊर्जा प्रकल्पामुळे वीज बिलात लक्षणीय बचत झाली असून या सर्व सुविधांचा
विद्यार्थ्यांना मोठा लाभ झाला आहे. त्यामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना जेआरएफ (JRF)
परीक्षेत यश मिळविण्यास तसेच पदव्युत्तर अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये प्रवेश
मिळविण्यास मोलाची मदत झाल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
विस्तार शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. राकेश अहिरे यांनी सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या नेतृत्वाखाली विद्यापीठाने मागील चार
वर्षांत उल्लेखनीय प्रगती साधली आहे. सुरुवातीला कमी मनुष्यबळ व अपुऱ्या पायाभूत
सुविधांमुळे अनेक शंका उपस्थित होत होत्या; मात्र कुलगुरूंनी
अल्पावधीतच परिस्थितीत आमूलाग्र बदल घडवून आणला. बदनापूर येथील सौरऊर्जा प्रकल्प,
विविध पायाभूत सुविधा तसेच शासनाकडून निधी उपलब्ध करून घेण्यासाठी
त्यांनी केलेले मार्गदर्शन महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरले. विस्तार शिक्षणात नाविन्यपूर्ण
उपक्रम राबवून "एक दिवस माझा माझ्या बळीराजासोबत" आणि
ऑनलाईन शेतकरी-शास्त्रज्ञ संवाद यांसारख्या कार्यक्रमांमुळे शेतकऱ्यांच्या
समस्यांवर आधारित संशोधनाला चालना मिळाल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. बाबासाहेब ठोंबरे यांनी सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंनी विद्यापीठाचा कार्यभार स्वीकारला तो
कोरोनानंतरचा अत्यंत आव्हानात्मक काळ होता. त्यांनी संकटांचे संधीत रूपांतर करत
विद्यार्थी आणि शेतकऱ्यांच्या हितासाठी अनेक नाविन्यपूर्ण शैक्षणिक धोरणे राबविली.
गुणवत्तापूर्ण बियाण्यांच्या निर्मितीवर भर दिला तसेच परभणीसह विद्यापीठाच्या
कार्यक्षेत्रात सुमारे दहा लाख वृक्षांची लागवड करून हरित विद्यापीठ संकल्पना
साकारण्यात महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिले. त्यांची स्वच्छ, पारदर्शक,
भेदभावरहित व साधी कार्यपद्धती ही सर्वांसाठी प्रेरणादायी असल्याचे
त्यांनी नमूद केले.
विद्यापीठ अभियंता श्री. दीपक कशाळकर यांनी सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या मार्गदर्शनामुळे विद्यापीठाच्या
पायाभूत सुविधांमध्ये लक्षणीय सुधारणा झाली असून अधिस्वीकृतीसाठी आवश्यक सुविधा
निर्माण करण्यात यश मिळाले.
प्रास्ताविकात अधिष्ठाता डॉ. प्रविण वैद्य यांनी माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या गेल्या
चार वर्षांतील दूरदृष्टीपूर्ण नेतृत्वाखाली विद्यापीठात झालेल्या शैक्षणिक, संशोधन, विस्तार शिक्षण व पायाभूत
सुविधांच्या विकासाची माहिती दिली. या कालावधीत राबविण्यात आलेल्या विविध
उपक्रमांमुळे विद्यापीठाने राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर उल्लेखनीय यश संपादन केल्याचे
त्यांनी सांगितले.
विद्यार्थी कल्याण अधिकारी डॉ. राजेश कदम यांनी सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंनी व्यक्तीतील क्षमता ओळखून त्यांना योग्य
संधी दिली. राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील अनेक कार्यक्रम विद्यापीठात
आयोजित करून संस्थेची प्रतिमा उंचावली. कमी मनुष्यबळावरही अनेकपटीने कार्यक्षमतेने
काम करण्याची प्रेरणा त्यांनी दिली. त्यामुळे आज समाजात विद्यापीठाविषयी सकारात्मक
दृष्टीकोन निर्माण झाला असून सर्वजण सकारात्मक भावनेने कार्य करत आहेत.
विद्यार्थी प्रतिनिधी धीरज कदम आणि सुभाष कुमार यांनी मनोगत व्यक्त करताना सांगितले की, माननीय कुलगुरूंच्या नेतृत्वामुळे विद्यापीठाला सक्षम, संवेदनशील आणि दूरदृष्टी असलेले नेतृत्व लाभले आहे. त्यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना पालकत्वाची भावना देत सातत्याने प्रोत्साहन दिले. त्यामुळे शिक्षण, संशोधन व विस्तार शिक्षण क्षेत्रात विद्यापीठाने राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर उल्लेखनीय प्रगती साधली असल्याच्या भावना त्यांनी व्यक्त केल्या. कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन व आभार प्रदर्शन डॉ. रणजीत चव्हाण आणि डॉ. फारिया खान यांनी केले.

On
the Occasion of Four Successful Years at VNMKV: Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof.
(Dr.) Indra Mani Holds an Inspiring Interaction with Students and Faculty
Nurture
the Spirit of 'This is My University' – Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor's Appeal
On the occasion
of successfully completing four years as the Vice Chancellor of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth,
Parbhani, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani interacted
with undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), Ph.D. students, and faculty members
of the constituent agricultural and allied colleges. The interaction programme
was organized in the auditorium of the College of Agriculture to facilitate an
exchange of ideas on the University's academic excellence, research, extension
education, student welfare, institutional development, and future roadmap.
During the
interaction, detailed discussions were held on measures to further strengthen
the University's academic quality, national accreditation and institutional
rankings, along with valuable suggestions from students and faculty on various
issues of mutual interest.
The programme
was attended by all Directors, Deans, Associate Deans, Heads of Departments,
Officers-in-Charge, student representatives, and faculty members, who expressed
their gratitude towards the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor for his visionary leadership
and felicitated him on the successful completion of his four-year tenure.
Addressing the
gathering, Hon’ble VC Prof. (Dr.)
Indra Mani recalled that when he first arrived in Parbhani on 25 July 2022, he had no prior
connection with the city and knew very little about the region. However,
through simplicity, honesty, and hard work, he soon became closely connected
with both the University and the people of Parbhani. Owing to his social
nature, he could easily establish meaningful relationships with public representatives,
government officials, social workers, farmers, students, and members of the
University fraternity, whose wholehearted support contributed significantly to
the University's progress.
Speaking about
Parbhani's unique identity, he proudly remarked, "Germany in the world
and Parbhani in India (Jagat Germany Bhartat Parbhani)," emphasizing
the city's distinct recognition. He stated that eminent Union Ministers,
renowned scientists, and senior government officials from across the country
had been invited to the University to strengthen Parbhani's national identity,
and they all expressed highly positive impressions about the city and the
University.
Sharing his
views on leadership, Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani emphasized that a leader should
never be arrogant or develop pride because of a position. Holding a responsible
office should be viewed as an opportunity to serve society rather than as a
symbol of superiority. Decisions should always be taken after consultation with
all stakeholders, while maintaining honesty, dedication, and independence from
any external pressure. Explaining the importance of the principle of "Zero Bargaining Point,"
he said that his guiding philosophy has always been, "Let me
work." He further stated that during his tenure he had never
experienced any undue pressure while performing his responsibilities.
He urged
everyone to develop a sense of responsibility, perform duties without requiring
reminders, believe in their own capabilities, and continuously strive to build
a strong professional reputation through consistent dedication. He highlighted
that despite functioning with only 32
percent manpower, the University achieved remarkable success
due to the collective commitment, teamwork, and perseverance of its employees.
Expressing his
gratitude, he described Parbhani as his "Karmabhoomi"
(land of work) and thanked the public representatives, senior
government officials, farmers, students, citizens, and the entire University
family for their unwavering support.
He remarked that
the satisfaction derived from his work during the last four years had been ten
times greater than in his previous professional assignments. He assured that
the next four years would also be dedicated to planned and inclusive
development, making administration easier for future leadership. He appealed to
everyone to nurture the feeling that "This is my University"
and work collectively for its continued growth. He also noted that VNMKV is
increasingly receiving preference for prestigious national research projects.
Director of Research Dr. Bhagwan Asewar
stated that under the guidance of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, the University
has developed a stronger culture of teamwork and professionalism. As a result,
the University secured 'A' Grade
Accreditation from the ICAR-NAEAB.
He highlighted several major achievements, including overseas training for 51 students and 24 officers under
the NAHEP project,
research projects worth approximately ₹125
crore, effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020),
notable contributions to the SWAYAM
platform, securing first rank in
Maharashtra in the IIRF Rankings, and ten All India Coordinated
Research Centres of the University being ranked first in the country. He noted
that the University had witnessed transformational progress in research,
education, and extension over the past four years.
Dr. Asewar also
mentioned that during Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani's tenure at the College of Agriculture, Golegaon,
laboratories were modernized, a permanent museum was established, sports
infrastructure was upgraded, a solar power project was commissioned, and a new
bus was purchased for students. The solar project significantly reduced
electricity expenditure, while these improved facilities greatly benefited
students, helping them achieve success in the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination and secure
admissions to postgraduate programmes.
Director of Extension Education Dr. Rakesh Ahire
stated that under the Vice Chancellor's leadership, the University achieved
remarkable progress despite limited manpower and inadequate infrastructure. He
highlighted the successful establishment of the solar power project at
Badnapur, development of various infrastructural facilities, and mobilization
of government funding. Innovative extension initiatives such as "Ek Divas Majha Majhya Balirajasobat"
and online farmer-scientist interaction programmes have significantly
strengthened research based on farmers' field problems.
Director of Instruction Dr. Babasaheb Thombre
observed that the Vice Chancellor assumed office during the challenging
post-COVID period but transformed the crisis into an opportunity by
implementing several innovative educational initiatives for the benefit of
students and farmers. He emphasized the University's focus on quality seed
production and the plantation of nearly one
million trees across the University's jurisdiction, thereby
advancing the vision of a Green
University. He described the Vice Chancellor's transparent,
impartial, and simple working style as a source of inspiration for all.
University Engineer Mr. Deepak Kashalkar
stated that under the Vice Chancellor's guidance, the University's
infrastructure had been significantly strengthened, enabling the creation of
facilities required for achieving national accreditation.
In his
introductory remarks, Dean Dr. Pravin
Vaidya highlighted the remarkable progress made under the
visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor over the past four years in
academics, research, extension education, and infrastructure development. He stated
that these initiatives had enabled the University to achieve significant
recognition at the national level.
Student Welfare Officer Dr. Rajesh Kadam
remarked that the Vice Chancellor had consistently recognized individual talent
and provided deserving opportunities. By organizing numerous national and
international events, he elevated the University's reputation and inspired
employees to perform efficiently despite limited manpower. As a result, society
today views the University with greater confidence and positivity.
Student
representatives Dheeraj Kadam
and Subhash Kumar
expressed that the University has been fortunate to have a capable,
compassionate, and visionary leader in Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani. They appreciated
his parental approach towards students and his continuous encouragement, which
has contributed significantly to the University's national achievements in
education, research, and extension.
The programme concluded with compering and vote of thanks by Dr. Ranjit Chavan and Dr. Faria Khan.
