हैद्राबाद येथे आयोजित देशातील कृषी विद्यापीठाच्‍या कुलगुरूच्‍या तीन दिवसीय परिषदेत प्रतिपादन
हैद्राबाद : राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरण (NEP) 2020 च्या अनुषंगाने देशातील कृषी विद्यापीठासाठीचा पदवी अभ्‍यासक्रमाची पुनर्रचना करण्यात आली असुन यात विद्यार्थ्‍यांच्‍या कौशल्य विकासावर विशेष भर देण्‍यात आला आहे, अशी माहिती भारतीय कृषि संशोधन परिषदेचे उपमहासंचालक (कृषी शिक्षण) डॉ. आर. सी. अग्रवाल यांनी दिनांक १ ऑक्‍टोबर रोजी हैद्राबाद येथे आयोजित तीन दिवसीय देशातील कृषी विद्यापीठांच्या कुलगुरूच्‍या परिषदेत दिली. कार्यक्रमास प्रमुख अतिथी म्‍हणुन तेलंगणाचे माननीय राज्‍यपाल डॉ. तमिलिसाई सौन्दराराजन या उपस्थित होत्‍या. परिषदेस देशातील कृषि विद्यापीठातील कुलगुरूंचा समावेश होता.
डॉ. आर. सी. अग्रवाल पुढे म्‍हणाले की, योग आणि ध्यान या विषयावर तीन आठवडे कालावधीचा अनिवार्य पायाभूत अभ्यासक्रम नवीन कृषि अभ्यासक्रमात समाविष्‍ट करण्यात आला आहे. पदवी अभ्यासक्रमात बहुविध प्रवेश आणि बाहेर पडण्याची तरतूद करण्यात आली आहे. नैसर्गिक शेतीवर स्‍वतंत्र पदवी अभ्यासक्रम सुरू करण्‍याचा यात समावेश असुन नैसर्गिक शेती संशोधनास प्रात्‍सोहन देण्‍यात येणार आहे. शेतकऱ्यांना नैसर्गिक शेतीचे प्रशिक्षण देण्याचे कार्य कृषी विज्ञान केंद्रांना सोपवण्यात येणार आहे. अनेक ठिकाणी नैसर्गिक शेतीसाठी प्रमुख पिकांची चाचणी केली जाईल. कृषी विद्यापीठांनी अंतर्गत महसूल वाढीचे उद्दिष्ट ठेऊन २०३५ पर्यंत आर्थिक स्वावलंबी होण्याचे उद्दिष्ट ठेवावे, असा सल्‍ला दिला.
तेलंगणाचे माननीय राज्‍यपाल डॉ. तमिलिसाई सौन्दराराजन यांनी परिषदेत कुलगुरूंना संबोधित करताना सांगितले की, जगाचे अस्तित्व हे शेतीच्या विकासावर अवलंबून आहे आणि शेतीचा उल्लेख केल्याशिवाय भूतकाळ, वर्तमान आणि भविष्यकाळ नाही. इतर अभ्यासक्रमांच्या तुलनेत विद्यार्थ्यांचा कृषी अभ्यासक्रमाकडे अधिक कल दिसून येत असल्याचे त्‍यांनी सांगितले.
परिषदेत विद्यापीठ महसूल निर्मिती मॉडेल, सहाव्या अधिष्‍ठाता समितीच्या शिफारशी, नैसर्गिक शेतीसाठी नवीन पदवी अभ्यासक्रम, सार्वजनिक खाजगी भागीदारी मॉडेल, कृषी विद्यापीठांमध्ये नवीन शिक्षण धोरण २०२० ची अंमलबजावणी आणि पुढील २० वर्षांसाठी कृषी क्षेत्रातील मनुष्‍यबळ निर्मिती, देशातील कृषी विद्यापीठांच्या जागतिक क्रमवारीचे विश्लेषण आदीं विषयावर चर्चा करण्यात आली.

VNMAU to
make Meditation and Yoga compulsory for agricultural students

The
Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University (VNMAU), Parbhani will
introduce Yoga and Meditation classes in the undergraduate courses of colleges
under the university, spoke by The Hon’ble Vice-Chacellor Dr. Indra Mani, who
attended the Vice-Chancellors’ Conference of Agricultural Universities from
Sept. 30 to October 2 at Hyderabad. He said that as per the restructured UG
curricula of agricultural universities in accordance with the National
Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a three-week duration yoga and meditation
foundation course will be mandatory in the new syllabus.
There
will be more focus on skill development as per the NEP 2020. Hon’ble Dr.Indra
Mani, said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 1
between Heartfulness Education Trust and Indian Council of Agricultural
Research (ICAR, New Delhi) to introduce yoga in the ICAR-affiliated
universities.
In
the VC’s conference at Hyderabad, Hon’ble Dr. R.C.Agrawal, DDG (Agril. Edu.),
ICAR, New Delhi said that the restructured UG curricula in accordance with the
National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 is ready for Agricultural Universities
focusing on skill development frame work. In new syllabus in addition to the
provision of multiple entry and exit in degree programs. In the sixth deans
committee, Natural farming course is planned to be introduced now in the
universities for practice of production and research in natural farming. To
encourage natural farming in a greater way, the fellowship provision to the
students, entrepreneurship development in connection with the natural farming,
backup and forward linkages will be provided. To train more manpower and
farmers on natural farming, Krishi Vigyan Kendras are entrusted with this job.
Also, major crops will be tested for natural farming at multi locations.
Dr.
Agrawal asked the VCs of Agricultural Universities to aim at 30% internal
revenue generation to begin with and reach financial self sustaining by 2035
asper NEP-2020. Universities can now offer services or consultancies, DDG told
to the VCs. Universities are open now to take up consultancies, offer
certificate, diploma courses, agri-tourism, branding of products, facilitation
centers to export of produce, act as innovation centres, certification and
accreditation bodies for agri- products etc.
Revenue
generation models, 6th Deans committee recommendations, new UG
program for natural farming, public private partnership (PPP) models,
implementation of NEP-20202 in agricultural universities, draft HR recruitments
in Agril sector for next 20 years, gap analysis for global ranking of
agricultural universities were discussed during the conference. Several revenue
generation models were discussed in details such as hydroponics, aeroponics,
breeder seed production, selling of parental lines or varieties; development
and selling of agri machinery; selling of medical and aromatic plants; selling
poultry birds, animal breeds, biopesticides, biofungicides; making vermicompost
etc. Ethanol production, replacement of soyameal which is costly with
sericulture pupae and natural colours, millets, diary, mushrooms, dehydrated
products and traditional rice varieties are some more areas available for
revenue generation.
Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan while addressing the VCs during the conference said that the survival of the world depends on the development of agriculture and there is no past, present and future without the mention of agriculture. She further stressed that compared to other courses, students are showing more inclination towards the agriculture courses.
