वनामकृविच्या सामायिक उष्मायन केंद्रात ऊस गाळप व गूळ उत्पादनास सुरुवात

प्रधानमंत्री सूक्ष्म अन्न प्रक्रिया उद्योग योजना (PMFME) यांच्या सहकार्याने व वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाच्या अन्नतंत्र महाविद्यालयात स्थापित करण्यात आलेल्या सामायिक उष्मायन केंद्राअंतर्गत गुळ प्रक्रिया केंद्रात चालू हंगामातील ऊस गाळप व गूळ उत्पादनास दिनांक १० जानेवारी २०२६  रोजी माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांच्या शुभहस्ते शुभारंभ करण्यात आला.

या गूळ प्रक्रिया केंद्राच्या माध्यमातून नवीन शैक्षणिक धोरणानुसार विद्यार्थ्यांचा कौशल्य विकास साधावा तसेच रोजगारनिर्मिती, महिला सबलीकरण आणि उद्योजकता विकासाला चालना देण्यासाठी नियमित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम राबवावेत, अशा सूचना निर्देश माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी यावेळी दिल्या.

सदर गुळ प्रक्रिया एकक गंगाखेड येथील लक्ष्मी फार्म्स यांना ऑपरेशनल अँड मेंटेनन्स (O&M) या तत्त्वावर देण्यात आले आहे. या केंद्रात आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाच्या साहाय्याने गूळ क्युब्स, गुळाची ढेप, गूळ काकवी व गूळ पावडर यांसारखी विविध मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादने तयार केली जातात. मागील हंगामात या केंद्रात सुमारे १२० टन गुळाचे उत्पादन घेण्यात आले असून, यावर्षीही चांगल्या उत्पादनाची अपेक्षा व्यक्त करण्यात आली.

या उपक्रमासाठी महाराष्ट्र राज्य कृषि प्रक्रिया व नियोजन विभागाचे संचालक व PMFME योजनेचे सह-नोडल अधिकारी, पुणे येथील श्री विनय कुमार आवटे यांनी शुभेच्छा दिल्या. तसेच गेल्या वर्षी कृषि विभाग, परभणीचे जिल्हा अधीक्षक कृषि अधिकारी श्री दौलत चव्हाण यांच्या सहकार्याने या केंद्रामध्ये अन्नप्रक्रिया विषयक विविध प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे.

या प्रसंगी महाविद्यालयाचे सहयोगी अधिष्ठाता डॉ. राजेश  क्षीरसागर, गुळ प्रक्रिया केंद्रप्रमुख डॉ. एस. के. सदावर्ते, लक्ष्मी फार्म्सचे श्री बाबासाहेब जामगे,  महाविद्यालयाचे डॉ. बी. एस. आगरकर, श्री राहुल भारद्वाज, श्री आर. बी. जाधव, श्री रमाकांत जोशी, श्री अजय हमदापूरकर, श्री नितीन मस्के तसेच महाविद्यालयातील शिक्षकीय व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते.

सामायिक उष्मायन केंद्रामुळे जिल्ह्यातील कृषि व अन्नप्रक्रिया उद्योगास मोठी चालना मिळत असून युवक व महिलांसाठी रोजगारनिर्मिती, महिला सबलीकरण आणि उद्योजकता विकासाला विशेष बळ मिळत आहे. येथे उत्पादित होणाऱ्या मूल्यवर्धित पदार्थांची गुणवत्ता उत्तम असून परभणी व परिसरातील बाजारपेठेत त्यांना चांगली मागणी आहे, असेही यावेळी नमूद करण्यात आले.

Jaggery Processing Centre to boost skill development — Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani.

 

With the support of the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME), the sugarcane crushing and jaggery production for the current season was formally inaugurated on 10 January 2026 at the Jaggery Processing Centre functioning under the Common Incubation Centre established at the College of Food Technology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University, by the auspicious hands of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani.

On this occasion, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani, directed that the centre should be effectively utilised for skill development of students in accordance with the New Education Policy, and that regular training programmes should be conducted to promote employment generation, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship development.

The jaggery processing unit has been allotted to Laxmi Farms, Gangakhed, on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) basis. Using modern technology, the centre produces a range of value-added products such as jaggery cubes, jaggery blocks, jaggery syrup, and jaggery powder. During the previous season, approximately 120 tonnes of jaggery were produced at this centre, and a good production output is expected this year as well.

For this initiative, Mr. Vinay Kumar Awate, Director, Maharashtra State Agriculture Processing and Planning Department and Co-Nodal Officer of the PMFME Scheme, Pune, extended his best wishes. Additionally, with the cooperation of Mr. Daulat Chavan, District Superintendent Agriculture Officer, Parbhani, various food processing training programmes were organised at this centre last year.

Present on the occasion were Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Associate Dean of the College; Dr. S. K. Sadavarte, Head of the Jaggery Processing Centre; Mr. Babasaheb Jamge of Laxmi Farms; Dr. B. S. Agarkar, Mr. Rahul Bhardwaj, Mr. R. B. Jadhav, Mr. Ramakant Joshi, Mr. Ajay Hamdapurkar, Mr. Nitin Maske, along with a large number of teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

It was also highlighted that the Common Incubation Centre is providing significant momentum to the agriculture and food processing industries in the district, while creating employment opportunities for youth and women, strengthening women empowerment, and promoting entrepreneurship. The quality of the value-added products manufactured at the centre is excellent, and they enjoy strong demand in the markets of Parbhani and surrounding areas.
