वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ आणि वसंतदादा साखर शुगर इन्स्टिटयुट, मांजरी पुणे यांच्या मध्‍ये ऊस पिकातील संशोधन, शिक्षण आणि विस्तार याबाबत दिनांक ८ फेब्रुवारी रोजी सामंजस्य करार करण्‍यात आला. या प्रसंगी कुलगुरू मा कुलगुरु डॉ. इन्‍द्र मणि यांच्या अध्‍यक्षतेखाली आयोजित बैठकीत संचालक संशोधन डॉ. दत्तप्रसाद वासकर, व्‍हिसीआयचे शास्‍त्रज्ञ डॉ. ए.डी. कडलग व डॉ. एस. जी. दळवी हे उपस्थित होते.
कुलगुरू मा डॉ इन्‍द्र मणि म्‍हणाले की, मराठवाडा विभागातील उस शेती संशोधनास चालना मिळणार असुन भविष्‍यात साखर उद्योग क्षेत्रात विद्यार्थ्‍यांना कौशल्‍य विकासाकरिता उस शेती, साखर कारखाना, मुल्यवर्धित पदार्थ निर्मिती, अल्‍कोहोल निर्मिती तंत्रज्ञान, बॉयोफुएल आदीवर आधारीत अभ्‍यासक्रम सुरू करण्‍यात येतील. शेतकरी बांधवांना सुधारीत ऊस लागवडीचे प्रशिक्षणाचे ही आयोजन करण्‍यात येईल. या करारामुळे विद्यापीठातील पदव्‍युत्‍तर विद्यार्थ्‍यी आणि मराठवाडयातील ऊस संशोधनास वसंतदादा शुगर इन्स्टिटयुट संस्‍थेमधील विविध सोईसुविधांचा विद्यार्थ्‍यांना संशोधनाकरिता फायदा घेता येणार आहे.
सामंजस्य करारावर व्हिएसआर मांजरीचे महासंचालक श्री संभाजी कडुपाटिल, शास्‍त्रज्ञ डॉ. ए.डी. कडलग, डॉ. एस. जी. दळवी तर विद्यापीठाचे संशोधन संचालक डॉ दत्तप्रसाद वासकर, डॉ गोदावरी पवार, डॉ मदन पेंडके यांनी स्‍वाक्षरी केल्‍या. बैठकीस नियंत्रक श्री प्रविण निर्मल, प्राचार्य डॉ सय्यद ईस्‍माइल, डॉ राजेश क्षीरसागर, डॉ व्‍ही एस खंदारे, विभाग प्रमुख, संशोधक उपस्थित होते.
VNMKV, Parbhani & Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI), Pune sign MoU for Sugarcane Research
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV), Parbhani, and the Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI), Manjari, Pune on February 8, 2024. This agreement focuses on research, education, and extension activities related to sugarcane cultivation. The agreement was signed under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Indra Mani during a meeting attended by Director of Research Dr.D.P.Waskar, VSI scientists Dr. A.D. Kadlag and Dr. S.G. Dalvi.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Indra Mani highlighted that this collaboration would drive research in sugarcane crop within the Marathwada region along with pave the way for future academic programs aimed at skill development in areas such as sugarcane farming, sugar production, value-added product manufacturing, alcohol production technologies, and biofuel production. Additionally, training programs on improved sugarcane cultivation practices will be organized for farmers.
This agreement is set to benefit postgraduate students and faculty for sugarcane research by providing access to various facilities and resources at the Vasantdada Sugar Institute. The collaboration agreement was officially signed by Shri. Sambhaji Kadu Patil, Director General of VSI Manjari, scientists Dr. A.D. Kadlag, Dr. S.G. Dalvi, and from VNMKV, Director of Research Dr. D.P.Waskar, Dr.Godavari Pawar, and Dr. Madan Pendke.
The meeting was also attended by University Controller Mr. Pravin Nirmal, ADP of various colleges Dr. Syed Ismail, Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Dr. V.S. Khandare, and other department heads and researchers.
