कापुस संशोधनास मिळणार पाठबळ

संशोधन संस्‍था यांच्‍यात दिनांक १६ फेब्रवारी रोजी सामंजस्‍य करार करण्‍यात आला. सदर

भारीमल्‍ला, शास्‍त्रज्ञ डॉ मनोजकुमार माहावार, शास्‍त्रज्ञ डॉ ज्‍योती ढाकणे लाड, डॉ खिजर बेग यांनी स्‍वाक्ष-या केल्‍या. यावेळी कुलसचिव

कुलगुरू मा डॉ इन्‍द्र मणि म्‍हणाले की, सदर करारामुळे दोन्‍ही संस्‍थेच्‍या कापुस पिकातील संशोधनास
चालना मिळणार असुन कापुस पिकांच्‍या उत्‍पादन वाढीस मदत होईल तर संशोधन संचालक डॉ दत्‍तप्रसाद
वासकर यांनी नैसर्गिक रंगीत कापुसाचे वाण निर्मिती
व कापसाच्‍या सरळ वाणात बीटीचा अंतर्भाव यावरही संशोधन करण्‍यात येणार असल्‍याचे सांगितले.
सदर करारामुळे दोन्‍ही संस्‍था एकत्रित कापुस पिकांवर अत्‍याधुनिक संशोधन प्रकल्‍प राबविणार असुन यात कापुस पिकांतील यांत्रिकीकरण, मुल्‍यवर्धन, कापणीपश्‍चात प्रक्रिया, कृ‍त्रिम बुध्‍दीमत्‍तेचा वापर, पीक उत्‍पादन व संरक्षण तंत्रज्ञान विकसित करणे, नॅनो तंत्रज्ञान, जैवतंत्रज्ञान आदी क्षेत्रात दिर्घकालीन संशोधनास चालना मिळणार आहे. विद्यापीठातील शास्‍त्रज्ञ, पदव्‍युत्‍तर विद्यार्थी आणि शेतकरी बांधव यांच्‍या करिता प्रशिक्षण आयोजित करण्‍यात येणार असुन दोन्‍ही संस्‍थेच्‍या कापुस पिकांबाबतची माहिती, ज्ञान व कौशल्‍य यांची देवाणघेवाण करण्‍यास मदत होणार आहे. कापुस तंत्रज्ञान संशोधन संस्‍थेतील अत्‍याधुनिक प्रयोगशाळातील धागा चाचणी प्रयोगशाळेची विद्यापीठाच्‍या संशोधनास मदत होणार आहे.

The MoU boost research in cotton crop
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on February 16, 2023 between Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV) and ICAR-Central Cotton Technology Research Institute (CIRCOT), Mumbai. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Indra Mani, Director of Research Dr. D.P. Waskar, Senior Scientist of CIRCOT Dr. Ashokkumar Bharimalla, Scientist Dr. Manojkumar Mahawar, Scientist Dr. Jyoti Dhakne Lad, Associate Director (Seed) Dr. K.S. Baig signed the MoU.
Hon’ble VC Dr. Indra Mani stressed that the agreement will boost research in cotton crop and help increase the production of cotton crops. While Director of Research Dr. D.P. Waskar said that research will also be done on the development of natural colored cotton varieties and introduction of Bt in straight cotton varieties.
Due to this MoU,
both the organizations will jointly implement long term collaborative research on
cotton crops, such as mechanization of cotton crops, value addition,
post-harvest processing, use of artificial intelligence, development of crop
production and protection technology, nano-technology, biotechnology etc. Capacity
building programme will be organized for scientists, faculty members, and post-graduate
students of the university and also farmers. The exchange of information,
knowledge and skills related to cotton crops of both the institutes will be
facilitated. A yarn testing laboratory in a state-of-the-art laboratory at the
CITCOT, Mumbai will support the research of the university. Development
of collaborative cutting-edge research projects in cotton for external funding
from national and international funding agencies.
On this occasion, Registrar Dr.D.R. Kadam, University Controller Mrs. Diparani Devtaraj, Associate Dean Dr. Uday Khodke, Dr. VN Narkhede, Dr. Smita Solanki, and Dr. Chinchane were present.
