वनामकृविचे माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांची भारतीय कडधान्य संशोधन संस्था, कानपूर येथे भेट; कडधान्य संशोधनातील सहकार्य अधिक बळकट करण्यावर भर

 

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषी विद्यापीठाचे माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी दि. १८ एप्रिल २०२६ रोजी भारतीय कृषी अनुसंधान परिषदेच्या कानपूर येथील भारतीय कडधान्य संशोधन संस्थेस ( ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research) भेट दिली.

यावेळी भारतीय कडधान्य संशोधन संस्था, कानपूर येथे रब्बी कडधान्य प्रकल्प समन्वयक डॉ. शैलेश त्रिपाठी यांनी माननीय कुलगुरूंचे स्वागत करून संस्थेमध्ये कडधान्य सुधारणा (Pulses Improvement) क्षेत्रात केलेल्या कामाची सविस्तर माहिती दिली.

यानंतर माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी कडधान्य संशोधन संस्थेमधील शास्त्रज्ञ डॉ. मनमोहन देव, डॉ. प्रसून वर्मा आणि इतर यांच्यासोबत बैठक घेऊन विविध विषयांवर सखोल चर्चा केली. तसेच त्यांनी तेथील मिनी डाळ मिल व कडधान्य प्रक्रिया युनिटमधील आधुनिक यंत्रसामग्रीची पाहणी केली.

या भेटीदरम्यान हरभरा (Chickpea) व तूर (Pigeonpea) पिकांच्या संशोधन क्षेत्रात भारतीय कृषी अनुसंधान परिषदेच्या कानपूर येथील भारतीय कडधान्य संशोधन संस्था व वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषी विद्यापीठ यांच्यातील सहकार्य अधिक बळकट करण्याबाबत सकारात्मक चर्चा झाली. या सहकार्यामुळे कडधान्य उत्पादनवाढ व शेतकऱ्यांना सुधारित तंत्रज्ञान उपलब्ध होण्यास मोठी मदत होणार असल्याचे माननीय कुलगुरूंनी यावेळी नमूद केले.

Visit of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of VNMKV to ICAR–Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur; Emphasis on Strengthening Collaboration in Pulses Research

The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani, visited the ICAR–Indian Institute of Pulses Research (IIPR), Kanpur, on April 18, 2026.

On this occasion, Dr. Shailesh Tripathi, Project Coordinator (Rabi Pulses), welcomed the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and provided a detailed overview of the institute’s work in the field of Pulses Improvement.

Subsequently, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani held a meeting with scientists including Dr. Manmohan Dev, Dr. Prasun Verma, and others, where in-depth discussions were conducted on various aspects of pulses research. He also visited the Mini Dal Mill and pulses processing unit to review the modern machinery installed there.

During the visit, constructive discussions were held regarding strengthening collaboration between ICAR–Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur and Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth in the research of chickpea and pigeonpea crops. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor noted that this collaboration would significantly contribute to increasing pulses production and making improved technologies available to farmers.
