वनामकृवित १७ व्या भारतीय कृषि विद्यापीठ संघाच्या राष्ट्रीय परिसंवादाचा यशस्वी समारोप – लघु व सीमान्त शेतकऱ्यांसाठी शेती यांत्रिकीकरण आणि कृषि रोबोटिक्सवर सखोल चर्चा

परिसंवाद कृषि विद्यापीठांमध्ये समन्वय साधण्यासाठी महत्त्वाचा ठरला... माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ, परभणी आणि भारतीय कृषि विद्यापीठे संघ (इंडियन अॅग्रिकल्चरल युनिव्हर्सिटीज असोसिएशन – IAUA), नवी दिल्ली यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने भारतातील एकूण ७४ कृषि विद्यापीठांच्या समन्वयाने आयोजित भारतीय कृषि विद्यापीठ संघाच्या दोन दिवसीय (२५ व २६ सप्टेंबर २०२५) १७ व्या राष्ट्रीय परिसंवादाचा समारोप दिनांक २६ सप्टेंबर २०२५ रोजी झाला. या परिसंवादाचा विषय होता – ‘लघु व सीमान्त शेतकऱ्यांसाठी शेती यांत्रिकीकरण आणि कृषि रोबोटिक्स : आव्हाने आणि संधी’ (Farm Mechanization and Agricultural Robotics for Small and Marginal Farmers: Challenges and Opportunities).

परिसंवादामध्ये वेगवेगळ्या पाच सत्रात झालेल्या देशभरातील १५ कृषि विद्यापीठांचे सन्मानीय कुलगुरू आणि वरिष्ठ पातळीवरील शास्त्रज्ञांनी सहभागी होवून मेकेट्रॉनिक्स, कृषि रोबोटिक्स, ड्रोन, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI-ML), बिग-डेटा, इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंकिंग (IoT), ऊर्जा कार्यक्षम शेती यंत्रसामग्री, स्मार्ट शेती पद्धती, अचूक शेती व्यवस्थापन तसेच नवीन उर्जेच्या तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर या विषयांवर सखोल चर्चा केली. तसेच नवीन शास्त्र व तंत्रज्ञान : शासन उपक्रम (महाविस्तार-AI, पोक्रा, स्मार्ट प्रोजेक्ट), शेती यंत्रीकरण : सेन्सर्स IoT व रोबोटिक्स (लहान शेतकऱ्यांसाठी यंत्रसामग्री, स्मार्ट रोबोटिक्स, बीज पेरणी यंत्रणा), कृषि ड्रोन, AI-ML, बिग-डेटा व LLM (ड्रोन तंत्रज्ञान, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता व अचूक शेती) आणि हरित व पर्यायी ऊर्जा (सौरऊर्जा, बायो-एनर्जी व शाश्वत शेतीसाठी पुनर्नवीन ऊर्जा उपाय) यावर उप विषयासह राष्ट्रीय संस्थात्मक क्रमवारी आराखड्याबाबत (NIRF) मूल्यांकनाचे निकष, आणि भारतीय कृषि संशोधन परिषद (ICAR) च्या रँकिंग पद्धतीची आणि एनआयआरएफ पद्धतीची तुलनात्मक मांडणी यावर देखील मंथन करण्यात आले. या चर्चेतून १० शिफारशी देण्यात आल्या आहेत. याचा लाभ लघु व सीमान्त शेतकऱ्यांना होणार आहे.

समारोप कार्यक्रम माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली पार पडला. प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून पंतनगर येथील जीबीपीयुएटीचे माननीय कुलगुरू व भारतीय कृषि विद्यापीठे संघाचे महासचिव डॉ. एम. एस. चौहान आणि पीडीकेव्ही (अकोला) व एमपीकेव्ही (राहुरी) चे माननीय कुलगुरू डॉ शरद गडाख उपस्थित होते. व्यासपीठावर शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. भगवान आसेवार, विस्तार शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. राकेश अहिरे, विद्यापीठे संघाचे सचिव श्री. दिनेश कुमार यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती.

याप्रसंगी माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी नमूद केले की, हा परिसंवाद राष्ट्रीय पातळीवरील सर्व कृषि विद्यापीठांमध्ये समन्वय साधण्यासाठी आणि एकमेकांची कार्यप्रणाली समजून घेण्यासाठी अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा ठरला आहे. वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाचे आदरातिथ्य, संस्कृती आणि कार्यप्रणाली उत्कृष्ट असल्याबाबत सर्वांकडून सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया मिळत आहेत. विशेषतः महाराष्ट्र या बाबतीत भारतात अग्रगण्य असून, त्यास सातत्याने महत्त्व दिले जात आहे. आदरातिथ्याच्या संदर्भात विद्यापीठ “अतिथी देवो भव:” या भावनेतून कार्यरत आहे, तर शेतकऱ्यांच्या सेवेसाठी “शेतकरी देवा भव:” या तत्त्वाचा अवलंब केला जातो. पुढे त्यांनी सांगितले की, शास्त्रज्ञाशिवाय शेती होऊ शकते, परंतु शेतीशिवाय शास्त्रज्ञ नाहीत. या परिसंवादातून निघालेल्या शिफारशी मराठवाड्यातील शेती विकासासाठी विद्यापीठ महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य करून त्याचा लाभ थेट शेतकऱ्यांना देईल. त्यांच्या कार्यपद्धतीमुळे आज संपूर्ण मराठवाड्यासह राष्ट्रीय पातळीवर त्यांना शेतकऱ्यांचे “कुलगुरू” म्हणून ओळखले जाते.

माननीय कुलगुरू व संघाचे महासचिव डॉ. एम. एस. चौहान यांनी वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाच्या आदर्श कार्याचे कौतुक करून आभार मानले. विद्यापीठाने मागील तीन वर्षांत केलेले सकारात्मक बदल आणि पायाभूत सुविधांचा दर्जेदार विकास उल्लेखनीय असल्याचे सांगितले. अशा प्रकारचे विकासात्मक उपक्रम आमच्या विद्यापीठातही राबविण्याचा निर्धार आम्ही या ठिकाणी करत असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले. या विद्यापीठाने अनेक मानांकने मिळवून आपली स्वतंत्र ओळख राष्ट्रीय पातळीवर निर्माण केली आहे, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले. विद्यापीठाच्या कार्यक्षेत्रातील सांस्कृतिक वारसा मोठा असून, सर्व अधिकारी यांच्यामध्ये दिसून येणारा समन्वय व साधेपणा प्रशंसनीय असल्याचे त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले. विद्यापीठ शेतकऱ्यांसाठी ‘शेतकरी देवो भव:’ या भावनेतून कार्य करीत आहे, असे कौतुकही त्यांनी केले. या परिसंवादातून ड्रोन, रोबोटिक्स यांसारख्या विषयांसह यांत्रिकीकरणावरील महत्त्वपूर्ण ज्ञानाचे आदानप्रदान झाले असून, दिलेल्या शिफारशींमुळे शेतकऱ्यांना नक्कीच लाभ होईल, असे मत त्यांनी व्यक्त केले.

माननीय कुलगुरू डॉ. शरद गडाख यांनीही या परिसंवादात निघालेल्या शिफारसी अत्यंत उपयुक्त असून, त्यांचा प्रत्यक्ष अवलंब विद्यापीठात करण्यासाठी ठोस कृती आराखडा राबविला जाईल, असे स्पष्ट केले. तसेच या शिफारसींचा लाभ शेतकरी, विद्यार्थी व संशोधकांपर्यंत पोहोचविण्यासाठी विद्यापीठ कटिबद्ध असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले.

कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. भगवान आसेवार यांनी केले तर आभार विद्यापीठे संघाचे सचिव श्री. दिनेश कुमार यांनी मानले. कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन डॉ. वीणा भालेराव यांनी केले.

Successful Conclusion of the 17th National Convention of IAUA at VNMKV – In-depth Discussions on Farm Mechanization and Agricultural Robotics for Small and Marginal Farmers

The 17th National Convention of the Indian Agricultural Universities Association (IAUA), New Delhi, jointly organized by Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV), Parbhani, and IAUA, was successfully concluded on 26th September 2025. The two-day event (25–26 September 2025) was held with the participation and coordination of 74 agricultural universities across India. The theme of the convention was “Farm Mechanization and Agricultural Robotics for Small and Marginal Farmers: Challenges and Opportunities.”

During the convention, in five different sessions, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellors of 15 agricultural universities from across the country and senior-level scientists participated and held in-depth discussions on topics such as mechatronics, agricultural robotics, drones, artificial intelligence (AI-ML), big data, Internet of Things (IoT), energy-efficient farm machinery, smart farming practices, precision farming management, and the use of new energy technologies.

Furthermore, deliberations were carried out on new science and technology initiatives including Government programs (Mahavistar-AI, Nanaji Deshmukh Sanjivani Prakalp, Smart Project), farm mechanization (sensors, IoT, and robotics – machinery for small farmers, smart robotics, seed sowing mechanisms), agricultural drones, AI-ML, big data and LLM (drone technology, artificial intelligence, and precision agriculture), as well as green and alternative energy (solar energy, bio-energy, and renewable energy solutions for sustainable farming). Alongside these, detailed discussions were held on the framework for National Institutional Ranking (NIRF), evaluation parameters, and a comparative analysis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) ranking system with the NIRF methodology. From these discussions, 10 recommendations were put forth, expected to benefit small and marginal farmers.

The valedictory function was presided over by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani. The chief guests included Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of GBPUAT, Pantnagar and Secretary General of the Indian Agricultural Universities Association, Dr. M. S. Chauhan, and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of PDKV (Akola) and MPKV (Rahuri), Dr. Sharad Gadakh. On the dais were also present Director of Education Dr. Bhagwan Asewar, Director of Extension Education Dr. Rakesh Ahire, and Secretary of the Association, Mr. Dinesh Kumar.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani stated that this convention has proved extremely important for establishing coordination among all the agricultural universities at the national level and for understanding each other’s working systems. He further mentioned that the hospitality, culture, and work practices of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University are receiving positive responses from everyone. Particularly, Maharashtra has been leading in this regard at the national level and has been consistently giving importance to it. With respect to hospitality, the university functions with the spirit of “Atithi Devo Bhava”, while for the service of farmers it follows the principle “Shetkari Devo Bhava”.

He added, “Agriculture can exist without scientists, but scientists cannot exist without agriculture.” The recommendations that emerged from this convention will enable the university to undertake significant work for the agricultural development of Marathwada, directly benefitting the farmers. Due to his working approach, he is today recognized as the “Vice-Chancellor of Farmers” not only in Marathwada but also at the national level.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and Secretary General of the Association, Dr. M. S. Chauhan, praised the exemplary work of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University and expressed gratitude. He highlighted that the positive changes and quality infrastructural development carried out by the university in the past three years are remarkable. He also stated that their university has resolved to implement such developmental initiatives as well. He noted that this university has earned several recognitions, thereby creating its distinct identity at the national level. He emphasized that the cultural heritage in the university’s jurisdiction is vast, while the coordination and simplicity seen among all its officers are commendable. He also appreciated that the university is working with the noble spirit of “Shetkari Devo Bhava”. He further remarked that through this convention, important knowledge sharing has taken place on subjects such as drones, robotics, and mechanization, and that the recommendations made will certainly benefit farmers.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sharad Gadakh also stated that the recommendations emerging from this convention are extremely useful, and that a concrete action plan will be implemented in the university for their practical application. He further assured that the university is committed to ensuring these recommendations reach farmers, students, and researchers.

The program began with welcome address by Director of Education, Dr. Bhagwan Asewar, followed by a vote of thanks from Association Secretary Shri Dinesh Kumar. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Dr. Veena Bhalerao.
