वनामकृविच्या कोरडवाहू शेती संशोधन केंद्राला राष्ट्रीय पातळीवर गौरव
वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ, परभणी अंतर्गत कार्यरत अखिल भारतीय समन्वित कोरडवाहू शेती संशोधन प्रकल्प (AICRP – Dryland), परभणी यांना ‘बेस्ट परफॉर्मिंग सेंटर’ (Best Performing Centre) हा मानाचा राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला आहे.

१९ जानेवारी २०२६ रोजी आसाम राज्यातील गुवाहाटी येथे आयोजित २९ व्या द्वैवार्षिक (Biennial) कार्यशाळेच्या उद्घाटन समारंभात प्रदान
करण्यात आला. सदर पुरस्कार भारतीय कृषी संशोधन परिषदेचे (ICAR) माननीय महासंचालक डॉ. एम. एल. जाट यांच्या हस्ते प्रदान करण्यात आला.
हा प्रतिष्ठित
राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांच्या दूरदृष्टीपूर्ण
व सक्षम नेतृत्वाखाली ‘शेतकरी देवो भवः’ या
भावनेतून राबविण्यात आलेल्या नाविन्यपूर्ण, शेतकरी-केंद्रित संशोधन
व विस्तार उपक्रमांचे फलित आहे. माननीय कुलगुरू यांच्या सततच्या मार्गदर्शनातून नाविन्यपूर्ण
केलेले उल्लेखनीय संशोधन कार्य, आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा प्रभावी
अवलंब, शेतकरी-उपयुक्त व नाविन्यपूर्ण तंत्रज्ञानाची निर्मिती,
उत्पादनवाढीस पूरक संशोधन निष्कर्ष तसेच व्यापक व परिणामकारक विस्तार
कार्यातील सातत्यपूर्ण उत्कृष्ट कामगिरीच्या आधारे हा पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला
आहे.
यावेळी
व्यासपीठावर ICAR च्या नैसर्गिक
संसाधन व्यवस्थापन (NRM) विभागाचे उपमहासंचालक डॉ. ए. के.
नायक, केंद्रीय कोरडवाहू शेती संशोधन संस्था (CRIDA) हैदराबादचे संचालक डॉ. व्ही. के. सिंग तसेच आसाम कृषी विद्यापीठाचे माननीय
कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) डेका यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती.
हा पुरस्कार प्राप्त
करण्यासाठी केलेल्या कार्यात संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग यांचेही वेळोवेळी मार्गदर्शनाखाली लाभले. या उल्लेखनीय यशाबद्दल माननीय कुलगुरू
प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि व संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग यांनी दिलेल्या सातत्यपूर्ण
प्रेरणा, मार्गदर्शन व
प्रोत्साहनाबद्दल प्रकल्पाचे मुख्य शास्त्रज्ञ तथा प्रभारी अधिकारी डॉ. आनंद गोरे यांनी
कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली. हा पुरस्कार संशोधन केंद्राच्या वतीने डॉ. मदन पेंडके,
डॉ. गणेश गायकवाड तसेच डॉ. पपिता गौरखेडे यांनी कार्यशाळेत उपस्थित
राहून स्वीकारला.
या राष्ट्रीय गौरवामुळे ‘शेतकरी देवो भवः’ या भावनेतून उभारल्या जात असलेल्या वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाच्या कोरडवाहू शेती संशोधन कार्यास नवे बळ मिळाले असून, मराठवाड्यातील शेतकऱ्यांसाठी कोरडवाहू शेतीतील उपयुक्त तंत्रज्ञान विकासास अधिक गती मिळणार आहे.

Centre receives national-level recognition
Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University,
Parbhani’s All India Coordinated Research Project on Dryland Agriculture
(AICRP–Dryland), Parbhani has been conferred with the prestigious national
award “Best Performing Centre.”
The award was presented during the inaugural ceremony of the 29th
Biennial Workshop held on 19 January 2026 at Guwahati, Assam.
The honour was bestowed by Ho’ble Dr. M. L. Jat, Director General,
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
This prestigious
national award is the outcome of innovative, farmer-centric research and
extension initiatives implemented under the visionary and capable leadership of
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani, guided by the philosophy of “Shetkari Devo Bhavah.” Through the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor’s
continuous guidance, the University has undertaken remarkable and innovative
research activities, ensured effective adoption of modern technologies,
developed farmer-friendly and innovative technologies, generated research outcomes
supportive of enhanced agricultural productivity, and carried out extensive and
impactful extension work. Based on this sustained excellence and outstanding
performance, the award has been conferred.
On this
occasion, the Deputy Director General (ICAR - Natural Resource Management –
NRM) Dr. A. K. Nayak, the Director of the Central Research Institute for
Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad, Dr. V. K. Singh, and the Hon’ble
Vice-Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University, Prof. (Dr.) Deka, were prominently
present on the dais.
The efforts undertaken to achieve this prestigious award were
also guided from time to time by the Director of Research, Dr. Khizar Baig.
Expressing gratitude for this remarkable achievement, the Chief Scientist and
In-charge Officer of the project, Dr. Anand Gore, acknowledged the continuous
motivation, guidance, and encouragement provided by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor
Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani and Director of Research Dr. Khizar Baig. The award was
formally received on behalf of the research centre by Dr. Madan Pendke, Dr.
Ganesh Gaikwad, and Dr. Papita Gaurkhede, who were present at the workshop.
This national recognition has provided renewed strength to the
dryland agriculture research initiatives of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada
Agricultural University, being carried out with the spirit of “Shetkari Devo
Bhavah.” It is expected to further accelerate the development of
farmer-friendly dryland technologies for the benefit of farmers in the
Marathwada region.
