वनामकृविच्या बदनापूर येथील कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रात विद्यापीठ स्तरीय महिला शेतकरी मेळावा उत्साहात संपन्न
क्रांतीज्योती सावित्रीबाई फुले यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषी विद्यापीठाच्या विस्तार शिक्षण
संचालनालय, विद्यापीठाचे बदनापूर येथील कृषी विज्ञान केंद्र, उमेद, माविम, कृषि विभाग यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने विद्यापीठस्तरीय महिला शेतकरी
मेळावा–२०२६ चे आयोजन शनिवार, दि. ०३ जानेवारी २०२६ रोजी बदनापूर
येथे अत्यंत उत्साहपूर्ण वातावरणात संपन्न झाला.
मेळाव्याचे अध्यक्ष
तथा उद्घाटक माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि होते. उद्घाटनपर भाषणात
त्यांनी सावित्रीबाई फुले यांच्या कार्याचा गौरव करत महिला शिक्षण, सक्षमीकरण
आणि कृषी विकास यांचा परस्परसंबंध अधोरेखित केला. महिला शेतकऱ्यांनी आधुनिक
तंत्रज्ञान, संशोधनाधारित शेतीपद्धती आणि उद्योजकतेकडे वळावे,
असे त्यांनी आवाहन केले. पुढे माननीय कुलगुरू म्हणाले की, सन २०२६
हे वर्ष आंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला शेतकरी वर्ष म्हणून जाहीर करण्यात आले असून विद्यापीठ
दरवर्षी क्रांतीज्योती सावित्रीबाई फुले यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त महिला शेतकरी दिन
साजरा करते. या पार्श्वभूमीवर आंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला शेतकरी वर्ष आणि सावित्रीबाई
फुले यांच्या योगदानाच्या स्मरणार्थ विद्यापीठातील सर्व महाविद्यालये व संशोधन
केंद्रांनी शेतकरी महिलांच्या कल्याणासाठी वर्षभर विविध उपक्रम व योजनांचा आराखडा
तयार करावा, असे त्यांनी सुचविले.
मेळाव्याच्या विशेष अतिथी पद्मश्री माननीय श्रीमती
राहीबाई सोमा पोपेरे (रा. कोंभाळणे, ता. अकोले,
जि. अहिल्यानगर) यांनी आपल्या जीवनप्रवासातील अनुभव कथन करत
पारंपरिक देशी बियाण्यांचे जतन, संवर्धन व प्रसार याचे
महत्त्व विशद केले. शाश्वत शेती, जैवविविधतेचे संरक्षण आणि
महिलांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील शेती विकास हे भविष्यातील कृषीचे प्रमुख आधारस्तंभ
असल्याचे त्यांनी प्रतिपादन केले. त्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनामुळे उपस्थित महिला
शेतकऱ्यांना नवचैतन्य मिळाल्याचे चित्र दिसून आले.
यावेळी पुणे येथील कृषी
परीषदेच्या महासंचालक मा. श्रीमती वर्षा लड्डा- उंटवाल (भा.प्र.से.) महिला
शेतकऱ्यांसाठी राबविण्यात येणाऱ्या विविध शासकीय योजना, संशोधन व प्रशिक्षणाच्या संधी याबाबत माहिती दिली. जालना जिल्ह्याच्या जिल्हाधिकारी मा. श्रीमती आशिमा मित्तल
(भा.प्र.से.) आणि जिल्हा परिषदेच्या मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी मा. श्रीमती मिन्नू
पी. एम. (भा.प्र.से.) यांनी कार्यक्रमास आणि महिलांना
शुभेच्छा दिल्या.
कार्यक्रमास विस्तार शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. राकेश अहिरे, शिक्षण संचालक
डॉ. भगवान आसेवार, संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग, अधिष्ठाता डॉ. दिपक पाटील, जालना जिल्ह्याचे जिल्हा
अधीक्षक कृषि अधिकारी श्री. गहिनीनाथ कापसे, आत्माचे प्रकल्प
संचालक श्री. अमोल अगवान, तसेच माविमचे जिल्हा समन्वयक
अधिकारी श्री. संजय गायकवाड आदी मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक विस्तार शिक्षण संचालक डॉ.
राकेश अहिरे, यांनी केले. त्यांनी विद्यापीठामार्फत
राबविण्यात येणाऱ्या महिला केंद्रित विस्तार उपक्रमांची सविस्तर माहिती देत,
संशोधन–विस्तार–शेतकरी यांतील दुवा अधिक मजबूत करण्याचा संकल्प
व्यक्त केला.
मेळाव्यात सन २०२६ या वर्षाच्या विद्यापीठ दिनदर्शिकेचे आणि
इतर प्रकाशनाचे मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते विमोचन करण्यात आले. या मेळाव्याच्या यशस्वी आयोजनासाठी बदनापूर येथील कृषी विज्ञान केंद्राचे
कार्यक्रम समन्वयक डॉ. एस. डी. सोमवंशी, मुख्य विस्तार शिक्षण अधिकारी डॉ. प्रशांत देशमुख, उमेदीचे
श्री शैलेश चौधरी आणि बायफचे श्री प्रवीण खोसे यांनी विशेष परिश्रम घेतले.
सूत्रसंचालन कृषि विज्ञान केंद्राचे विषय
विशेषज्ञ डॉ. राहुल लक्ष्मण कदम आणि डॉ. दीपाली रमेश कांबळे यांनी केले, तर आभार कार्यक्रम समन्वयक डॉ. एस. डी. सोमवंशी यांनी
मानले.
या मेळाव्याला महिला शेतकरी, बचत गट सदस्य तसेच कृषी क्षेत्रातील विविध घटकांनी
मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थिती लावली. या विद्यापीठ स्तरीय महिला शेतकरी मेळाव्यामुळे
महिला शेतकऱ्यांमध्ये आत्मविश्वास, नवोन्मेष व शाश्वत
शेतीकडे वाटचाल करण्याची प्रेरणा मिळाल्याचे उपस्थितांनी व्यक्त केले. सावित्रीबाई
फुले यांच्या विचारांना समर्पित हा मेळावा महिला शेतकरी सक्षमीकरणाच्या दृष्टीने
एक महत्त्वाचा टप्पा ठरला आहे.

The University-level Women Farmers’ Rally was organized with
great enthusiasm at the VNMKV’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Badnapur.
On
the occasion of the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, the
University-level Women Farmers’ Rally – 2026 was jointly organized by the
Directorate of Extension Education of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural
University, the University’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Badnapur), UMED, MAVIM,
and the Department of Agriculture. The Rally was held on Saturday, 3rd January
2026 at Badnapur and was conducted in a very enthusiastic atmosphere.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof.
(Dr.) Indra Mani presided over and inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural
address, he paid tribute to the work of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule and highlighted the
interrelationship between women’s education, empowerment, and agricultural
development. He appealed to women farmers to adopt modern technologies,
research-based farming practices, and to move towards entrepreneurship.
Further, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor
stated that the year 2026 has been declared as the International Year of Women
Farmers, and that the University celebrates Women Farmers’ Day every year on
the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule. In this context, in
remembrance of the International Year of Women Farmers and Savitribai Phule’s
contributions, he suggested that all colleges and research centers of the
University should prepare a year-long action plan of various activities and
schemes aimed at the welfare of women farmers.
The special guest of the rally, Padma
Shri awardee Hon’ble Smt. Rahibai Soma Popere (Resident of Kombhalne, Taluka
Akole, District Ahilyanagar), shared experiences from her life journey and
explained the importance of conservation, preservation and promotion of
traditional indigenous seeds. She emphasized that sustainable agriculture,
conservation of biodiversity, and women-led agricultural development will be
the key pillars of future agriculture. Her guidance infused fresh inspiration
among the women farmers present at the event.
On this occasion, Respected Smt.
Varsha Ladda-Untwal (IAS), Director General of the Maharashtra Agricultural
Education and Research Council, Pune, provided information about various
government schemes, research initiatives, and training opportunities being
implemented for women farmers. Respected Smt. Ashima Mittal (IAS), District
Collector of Jalna, and Respected Smt. Minnu P. M. (IAS), Chief Executive
Officer of the Zilla Parishad, extended their best wishes to the programme and
to the women participants.
The programme was attended by
several distinguished dignitaries, including Director of Extension Education
Dr. Rakesh Ahire, Director of Education Dr. Bhagwan Asewar, Director of
Research Dr. Khizar Baig, Dean Dr. Deepak Patil, District Superintendent
Agriculture Officer of Jalna district Shri Gahininath Kapse, ATMA Project
Director Shri Amol Agwan, and MAVIM District Coordination Officer Shri Sanjay
Gaikwad, among others.
The introductory address was
delivered by Director of Extension Education Dr. Rakesh Ahire. He provided
detailed information about the women-centric extension activities being
implemented by the university and expressed a firm resolve to further
strengthen the linkage between research, extension, and farmers.
During the gathering, the University
Calendar for the year 2026 and other publications were released by the
dignitaries. For the successful organization of this event, special efforts
were taken by Dr. S. D. Somvanshi, Programme Coordinator of the KVK, Badnapur;
Dr. Prashant Deshmukh, Chief Extension Education Officer; Mr. Shailesh
Chaudhary from UMED; and Mr. Pravin Khose from BAIF.
The programme was compered by
Subject Matter Specialists Dr. Rahul Laxman Kadam and Dr. Dipali Ramesh Kamble
of the KVK, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Programme Coordinator Dr.
S. D. Somvanshi.
A large number of women farmers, members of self-help groups, and various stakeholders from the agricultural sector attended the fair. Participants expressed that this university-level women farmers’ fair instilled confidence among women farmers and inspired them to move towards innovation and sustainable agriculture. Dedicated to the thoughts of krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, the fair proved to be an important milestone in the direction of women farmers’ empowerment.
