उद्योग–शैक्षणिक समन्वयातून विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण कौशल्यविकासाला चालना – माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि

धोरण–२०२० मधील मार्गदर्शक सूचनांच्या अनुषंगाने वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि
विद्यापीठ, परभणी येथे
विद्यार्थ्यांच्या कौशल्याधिष्ठित शिक्षणास प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी ‘प्रोफेसर ऑफ
प्रॅक्टिस’ (Professor of Practice) या पदावर उद्योग,
सेवा व व्यावसायिक क्षेत्रातील अनुभवी व नामवंत तज्ज्ञांची निवड
करण्यात आली आहे.
यासंदर्भात माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी
सांगितले की,
या उपक्रमामुळे विद्यापीठातील पदवी, पदव्युत्तर
व आचार्य (पीएच.डी.) स्तरावरील विद्यार्थ्यांना औद्योगिक व व्यावसायिक क्षेत्रातील
प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव शैक्षणिक प्रक्रियेशी प्रभावीपणे जोडला जाणार आहे. यामुळे अध्यापन,
संशोधन व विस्तार कार्य अधिक व्यवहाराभिमुख, नाविन्यपूर्ण
व उद्योगाभिमुख होऊन विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण कौशल्यविकासास चालना मिळेल. तसेच
विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये उद्योजकता, नवसंशोधनाची वृत्ती व
समस्या-आधारित विचारक्षमता विकसित होऊन त्यांच्या रोजगारक्षमतेत लक्षणीय वाढ
होण्यास मदत होईल. परिणामी, विद्यापीठातून तयार होणारे
मनुष्यबळ समाज व उद्योगक्षेत्राच्या गरजांना समर्थपणे प्रतिसाद देणारे ठरेल.
याबाबत अधिक माहिती
देताना शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. भगवान आसेवार यांनी सांगितले की, नियुक्त करण्यात आलेल्या तज्ज्ञांचा कार्यकाळ एक
वर्षाचा असून हे पद मानद स्वरूपाचे राहील. सदर पद ‘फंक्शनल पोस्ट’ म्हणून कार्यरत राहणार
आहे. या माध्यमातून संबंधित तज्ज्ञ विद्यापीठातील अध्यापन प्रक्रियेला बळकटी देतील.
ते अध्यापन सहाय्य, अभ्यासक्रम समृद्धी, कौशल्यविकास व क्षमता वृद्धी प्रशिक्षण, उद्योग–संवाद
वृद्धिंगत करणे, तसेच विद्यार्थ्यांना रोजगाराभिमुख व उद्योजकतेस
चालना देणारे व्यावसायिक मार्गदर्शन देण्यामध्ये महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान देतील. यामुळे
विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासोबतच त्यांची स्पर्धात्मक क्षमता वाढीस लागेल,
असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले.
विद्यापीठाच्या
विद्वत परिषद व कार्यकारी परिषदेच्या मान्यतेनुसार विविध विद्याशाखांमध्ये
‘प्रोफेसर ऑफ प्रॅक्टिस’ म्हणून पुढीलप्रमाणे तज्ज्ञांची निवड करण्यात आली आहे. कृषि

चंद्रकांत पुरारे; सामुदायिक विज्ञान विद्याशाखा – श्रीमती
आशा शिवाजीराव भिसे, डॉ. मेघा बागुल; उद्यानविद्या
विद्याशाखा – श्री. अभयकुमार बाजीराव कालुंके, श्री. गणेश
बाबर; कृषि जैवतंत्रज्ञान विद्याशाखा – डॉ. योगिता अरुण
देशमुख; कृषि व्यवसाय व्यवस्थापन विद्याशाखा – श्री.
विजयकुमार चोले, श्री. अमोल मारुती धवन; तसेच पशु व दुग्ध व्यवसाय विद्याशाखा – श्री. बालासाहेब परसराम गित्ते,
श्री. माणिक प्रभुजी रासवे.
या
उपक्रमाच्या प्रभावी अंमलबजावणीसाठी कृषि अर्थशास्त्र विभागाचे प्रमुख डॉ. सचिन
मोरे यांची नोडल अधिकारी म्हणून निवड करण्यात आली आहे. ‘प्रोफेसर ऑफ प्रॅक्टिस’
उपक्रमामुळे विद्यापीठ व उद्योग क्षेत्र यांच्यात सुसंवाद व सहकार्य वृद्धिंगत
होऊन विद्यार्थ्यांना आधुनिक गरजांनुसार सक्षम घडविण्यास मदत होईल, असा विश्वास व्यक्त करण्यात आला.
To provide students with industrial and professional
exposure, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada
Agricultural University has appointed a “Professor of Practice.”
Through industry–academia collaboration, comprehensive skill
development of students will be promoted – Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.)
Indra Mani.
In
accordance with the guidelines of the New Education Policy–2020, experienced
and renowned experts from industry, services, and professional sectors have
been appointed as “Professors of Practice” at Vasantrao Naik Marathwada
Agricultural University, Parbhani, to promote skill-based education among
students.
In this regard,
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani stated that this initiative will
effectively integrate practical exposure from the industrial and professional
sectors with the academic process for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral
(Ph.D.) students of the University. This will make teaching, research, and
extension activities more practice-oriented, innovative, and industry-focused,
thereby promoting the overall skill development of students.
He further emphasized
that the initiative will foster entrepreneurship, an innovative mindset, and
problem-based thinking among students, significantly enhancing their
employability. Consequently, the human resources developed by the University
will be well-equipped to respond effectively to the needs of society and the
industry sector.
Providing
further details, Director of Instruction Dr. Bhagwan Asewar stated that the
tenure of the appointed experts will be for one year and the positions will be
on an honorary basis. These posts will function as “functional posts.” Through
this initiative, the concerned experts will strengthen the teaching–learning
process of the University. They will make significant contributions in academic
support, curriculum enrichment, skill development and capacity-building
training, strengthening industry–academia interaction, and providing
professional guidance to students to enhance employability and promote
entrepreneurship. This, he explained, will not only ensure the holistic
development of students but also enhance their competitive capabilities.
As per the approval of the
University’s Academic Council and Executive Council, the following experts have
been appointed as “Professors of Practice” in various faculties:
- Faculty of Agriculture – Dr. Anil Ramesh Majgaonkar, Dr. Narendrakumar

- Faculty of Food Technology – Dr. Prabodh S. Halde, Dr. Umesh Kamble
- Faculty of Agricultural Engineering – Dr. Syed Ismail, Shri Chandrakant Purare
- Faculty of Community Science – Smt. Asha Shivajirao Bhise, Dr. Megha Bagul
- Faculty of Horticulture – Shri Abhaykumar Bajirao Kalunke, Shri Ganesh Babar
- Faculty of Agricultural Biotechnology – Dr. Yogita Arun Deshmukh
- Faculty of Agribusiness Management – Shri Vijaykumar Chole, Shri Amol Maruti Dhavan
- Faculty of Animal and Dairy Science – Shri Balasaheb Parsaram Gite, Shri Manik Prabhuji

For the effective implementation of
this initiative, Dr. Sachin More, Head of the Department of Agricultural
Economics, has been appointed as the Nodal Officer. It is expected that the
“Professor of Practice” initiative will strengthen dialogue and collaboration
between the University and the industry sector, thereby helping to equip
students with skills aligned to contemporary needs.
