वनामकृविमध्ये वनस्पती मायक्रोबायोम व जैव-इनपुट्स विषयावर भाकृअप प्रायोजित २१ दिवसीय हिवाळी शाळेचे (प्रशिक्षण ) उद्घाटन

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ, परभणी येथील वनस्पती रोगशास्त्र विभागाच्या वतीने भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद (ICAR) प्रायोजित “शाश्वत कृषिसाठी वनस्पती मायक्रोबायोम जैव-इनपुट्सच्या संवर्धन तंत्रज्ञानातील नवकल्पना” (Innovations in Plant Microbiome Bio-inputs Culturing Techniques for Sustainable Agriculture) या विषयावरील  २१ दिवसीय हिवाळी शाळेच्या (अभ्यासिकेच्या) उद्घाटन कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन शनिवार, दिनांक २८ फेब्रुवारी २०२६ रोजी करण्यात आले. हा उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम विद्यापीठाच्या प्रशासकीय इमारतीतील परिसंवाद सभागृहात उत्साहात पार पडला.

या उद्घाटन समारंभाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि हे होते. प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून भाकृअप, नवी दिल्ली येथील सहसंचालक (मानव संसाधन विकास) डॉ. सीमा जग्गी ऑनलाईन उपस्थित होत्या.व्यासपीठावर शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. भगवान आसेवार, संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग, विस्तार शिक्षण संचालक डॉ. राकेश अहिरे, कुलसचिव श्री. संतोष वेणीकर, सहयोगी अधिष्ठाता, डॉ. प्रविण वैद्य विभाग प्रमुख डॉ. प्रफुल्ल घंटे, अभ्यासिका संचालक डॉ. गजेंद्र जगताप आदी मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

अध्यक्षीय भाषणात माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी सांगितले की, मागील वर्षी याच विभागामार्फत आयोजित दहा दिवसांच्या प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमास प्रशिक्षणार्थींनी अत्यंत सकारात्मक व उत्कृष्ट अभिप्राय दिला होता. यंदाच्या प्रशिक्षणातूनही तसाच गुणवत्तापूर्ण प्रतिसाद मिळेल, अशी अपेक्षा त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. या प्रशिक्षणामध्ये कर्नाटक, तेलंगणा, केरळ, राजस्थान, छत्तीसगड व महाराष्ट्र या सहा राज्यांतील एकूण २५ प्रशिक्षणार्थी सहभागी झाले असून, यामध्ये विविध कृषि विद्यापीठे व कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रांतील शास्त्रज्ञ व प्राध्यापकांचा सहभाग असल्याने प्रशिक्षणाचा दर्जा अधिक उंचावेल, असे त्यांनी नमूद केले. पुढे त्यांनी महाराष्ट्र हे देशातील कृषि क्षेत्राला दिशा देणारे आणि ‘लाईटहाऊस’ म्हणून ओळखले जाणारे राज्य असून, हरितक्रांतीचे जनक स्वर्गीय वसंतराव नाईक यांच्या दूरदृष्टीतून विभागनिहाय चार कृषि विद्यापीठांची स्थापना करण्यात आली. त्यामुळे महाराष्ट्रात माळी प्रशिक्षणापासून ते पीएच.डी.पर्यंतचे सुसंगत कृषि शिक्षण उपलब्ध झाले आहे.

विद्यापीठामार्फत जैविक शेतीला चालना देण्यासाठी वेस्ट डी-कंपोजर, जैविक कीटकनाशके व जैविक खते यांचे उत्पादन केले जात असून, त्यातून विषमुक्त शेतीस प्रोत्साहन मिळत आहे. रासायनिक खतांचा कमीत कमी वापर करून नैसर्गिक व सेंद्रिय शेतीसाठी आवश्यक तंत्रज्ञान शेतकऱ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचविण्याचे कार्य महाराष्ट्र शासन व विद्यापीठ संयुक्तपणे करीत आहेत.

प्रशिक्षणार्थींनी विद्यापीठातील संशोधन प्रकल्प, सहा कोटी रुपयांहून अधिक उलाढाल असलेला बायोमिक्स उत्पादन प्रकल्प, कॉमन इन्क्युबेशन सेंटर तसेच विद्यापीठाच्या मध्यवर्ती प्रक्षेत्राच्या अखत्यारीतील सुमारे ४,००० एकर बिजोत्पादन क्षेत्राची पाहणी करावी, असे आवाहन त्यांनी केले.

विद्यापीठातील बायोमिक्स उत्पादने विद्यापीठाच्या चारही कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रांच्या माध्यमातून विक्रीस उपलब्ध करून दिली जात असल्यामुळे मराठवाड्यातील शेतकऱ्यांना अन्य जिल्ह्यात जाऊन खरेदी करण्याची गरज उरलेली नाही, असे सांगितले.

याबरोबरच त्यांनी विद्यापीठातील सर्व संचालनालये व प्रशासकीय विभाग परस्पर समन्वयाने कार्यरत असून, सर्वांगीण विकासावर भर दिला जात आहे. विद्यापीठ शेतकरीकेंद्रित विस्तार कार्य, विद्यार्थी केंद्रित शिक्षण, कर्मचारी केंद्रित प्रशासन आणि नाविन्यपूर्ण संशोधन या चार स्तंभांवर कार्यरत असल्याचे त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले. शेतकऱ्यांच्या हितासाठी ‘शेतकरी देवो भव:’ या भावनेतून दर महिन्याच्या दुसऱ्या बुधवारी ‘माझा एक दिवस माझ्या बळीराजासोबत’ या उपक्रमांतर्गत कुलगुरूपासून शास्त्रज्ञांपर्यंत सर्वजण शेतकऱ्यांच्या बांधावर प्रत्यक्ष मार्गदर्शन करतात. तसेच आठवड्यातून दोन दिवस सायंकाळी सात ते नऊ या वेळेत ऑनलाईन मार्गदर्शनही दिले जाते.

पायाभूत सुविधांच्या विकासासाठी केंद्र व महाराष्ट्र शासनाकडून मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आर्थिक सहाय्य मिळाल्याबद्दल त्यांनी शासनाचे आभार मानले. प्रशिक्षणार्थींचे स्वागत व अभिनंदन करून त्यांनी विद्यापीठातील पायाभूत सुविधा व संशोधन उपक्रमांची पाहणी करून आपले मौल्यवान अभिप्राय नोंदवावेत, असे आवाहन केले.

डॉ. सीमा जग्गी यांनी या प्रशिक्षणासाठी प्रत्यक्ष (फिजिकली) उपस्थित राहण्याची इच्छा व्यक्त करत भारतभरातील विविध संस्थांकडून अनेक प्रस्ताव मंजुरीसाठी प्राप्त झाले होते. मात्र, या प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमाचा विषय सध्याच्या परिस्थितीशी सुसंगत व अत्यंत आवश्यक असल्याने त्याची प्राधान्याने निवड करण्यात आली. पुढील २१ दिवसांत प्रशिक्षणार्थींनी या विषयाचे सखोल ज्ञान आत्मसात करावे, तसेच विद्यापीठात उपलब्ध असलेल्या संपूर्ण भारतात उल्लेखनीय अशा विविध संशोधन प्रकल्पांबरोबरच इतर सुविधा यांची माहिती घ्यावी, असे त्यांनी आवाहन केले. या प्रशिक्षणाचा पुरेपूर लाभ घेऊन आपल्या क्षमता विकसित कराव्यात, असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले. यासोबतच, प्रशिक्षणामध्ये प्रात्यक्षिके व प्रक्षेत्र भेटींवर अधिक भर देण्याची सूचना त्यांनी आयोजकांना केली. भारत सरकार अधिकाऱ्यांच्या क्षमता बांधणीवर विशेष भर देत असून, यासाठी तीन, आठ, दहा, पंधरा तसेच एकवीस दिवसांचे विविध कालावधीचे प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम राबविले जातात, असे त्यांनी नमूद केले. सहभागी प्रशिक्षणार्थींनी परस्पर ज्ञानाचे आदान-प्रदान करावे, असे आवाहनही त्यांनी केले.

स्वागतपर भाषणात विभागप्रमुख डॉ. प्रफुल्ल घंटे यांनी केले, तर प्रस्ताविक अभ्यासक्रम संचालक व संशोधन उपसंचालक डॉ. गजेंद्र जगताप यांनी मांडले. सूत्रसंचालन डॉ. मीनाक्षी पाटील यांनी केले असून आभार अभ्यासक्रम समन्वयक डॉ. चंद्रशेखर अंबडकर यांनी मानले.

सदर हिवाळी शाळेमध्ये वनस्पती मायक्रोबायोम, जैव-खते तसेच जैव-इनपुट्सच्या उत्पादन व वापरातील नाविन्यपूर्ण तंत्रज्ञानावर तज्ज्ञांचे मार्गदर्शन देण्यात येणार असून, शाश्वत कृषि विकासाच्या दृष्टीने हे प्रशिक्षण अत्यंत उपयुक्त ठरणार आहे.

Inauguration of an ICAR-Sponsored 21-Day Winter School (Training Programme) on Plant Microbiome and Bio-Inputs at VNMKV

 

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani: Strong emphasis by the University on quality training, farmer-centric extension, and organic farming.

 

The Department of Plant Pathology of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani, organized the inaugural programme of a 21-day Winter School (Academic Programme) sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on the theme “Innovations in Plant Microbiome Bio-inputs Culturing Techniques for Sustainable Agriculture.”

The inauguration was held on Saturday, 28 February 2026, and took place with great enthusiasm at the Symposium Hall of the University Administrative Building.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani,.
Dr. Seema Jaggi, Assistant Director General (Human Resource Development), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, attended the event online as the chief guest. Also present on the dais were Director of  Instruction Dr. Bhagwan Asewar, Director of Research Dr. Khizar Baig, Director of Extension Education Dr. Rakesh Ahire, Registrar shri Santosh Venikar, Associate Dean Dr. Pravin Vaidya, Head of the Department Dr. Prafull Ghante, Course Director Dr. Gajendra Jagatap along with other dignitaries.

In his presidential address, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani stated that the ten-day training programme organized by the same department last year had received extremely positive and excellent feedback from the trainees. He expressed confidence that this year’s training would also elicit a similarly high-quality response. He informed that a total of 25 trainees from six states Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra are participating in the programme. As scientists and professors from various agricultural universities and Krishi Vigyan Kendras are involved, he noted that the overall quality and impact of the training would be further enhanced.

Further, he highlighted that Maharashtra is a state known for providing direction to the country’s agricultural sector and is often referred to as a “lighthouse.” With the visionary leadership of the late Vasantrao Naik, four agricultural universities were established on a regional basis. As a result, Maharashtra now offers a comprehensive agricultural education system ranging from basic Mali training to Ph.D. level studies.

To promote organic farming, the university is producing waste decomposers, bio-pesticides, and organic fertilizers, thereby encouraging toxin-free agriculture. He added that the Government of Maharashtra and the university are jointly working to disseminate technologies required for natural and organic farming to farmers, with minimal use of chemical fertilizers.

He appealed to the trainees to visit and review the university’s research projects, the Biomix production unit with an annual turnover exceeding ₹6 crore, the Common Incubation Center, and approximately 4,000 acres of seed production area under the jurisdiction of the university’s central farm.

He also mentioned that Biomix products of the university are made available for sale through all four Krishi Vigyan Kendras of the university, ensuring that farmers in the Marathwada region no longer need to travel to other districts to purchase these inputs.

Additionally, he emphasized that all directorates and administrative departments of the university work in close coordination, with a strong focus on holistic development. He clarified that the university functions on four key pillars: farmer-centric extension activities, student-centric education, employee-centric administration, and innovative research.

For the welfare of farmers, under the spirit of “Shetkari Devo Bhava,” the initiative “Maza Ek Divas Maza Balirajasobat” (One Day with My Farmer) is implemented on the second Wednesday of every month, during which everyone, from the Vice Chancellor to scientists, provides on-field guidance directly at farmers’ fields. Moreover, online advisory services are also provided twice a week from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

He expressed gratitude to the Central Government and the Government of Maharashtra for the substantial financial support received for the development of infrastructure. While welcoming and congratulating the trainees, he appealed to them to visit the university’s infrastructure and research initiatives and to share their valuable feedback.

Dr. Seema Jaggi expressed her willingness to attend this training programme in person (physically), and several proposals from various institutions across India had been received for approval. However, as the theme of this training programme is highly relevant to the present situation and extremely essential, it was selected on priority. She appealed to the trainees to acquire in-depth knowledge of the subject over the next 21 days and to familiarize themselves with the various research projects of national importance being implemented at the university, along with other available facilities. She also emphasized that the trainees should take full advantage of the training to enhance their capacities. In addition, she suggested to the organizers that greater emphasis should be placed on practical sessions and field visits during the training.

She further noted that the Government of India is giving special emphasis to capacity building of officials, and for this purpose, training programmes of various durations such as three, eight, ten, fifteen, and twenty-one days are being conducted. She also appealed to the participating trainees to engage in mutual exchange of knowledge.

The welcome address was delivered by Head of the Department Dr. Prafulla Ghante, while the introductory remarks were presented by Course Director and Associate Director of Research Dr. Gajendra Jagtap. The programme was anchored by Dr. Meenakshi Patil, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Course Coordinator Dr. Chandrashekhar Ambadkar.

Under this Winter School, experts will provide guidance on innovative technologies related to plant microbiome, bio-fertilizers, and the production and use of bio-inputs. From the perspective of sustainable agricultural development, this training is expected to be highly beneficial.
