राष्ट्रीय पातळीवरील पशुसंवर्धन यांत्रिकीकरण प्रकल्पात वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाला ‘सर्वोत्कृष्ट केंद्र’ पुरस्कार

माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांच्या नेतृत्वात वनामकृविला एकूण आठ  ‘सर्वोत्कृष्ट संशोधन केंद्र’ पुरस्कार

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ, परभणी येथील अखिल भारतीय समन्वयित संशोधन प्रकल्प – पशुधन यांत्रिकीकरण (AICRP on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry) या केंद्रास संशोधनातील उल्लेखनीय योगदानाबद्दल वर्ष २०२४–२५ साठी “सर्वोत्कृष्ट केंद्र पुरस्कार” प्रदान करण्यात आला. हा पुरस्कार दिनांक ७ ते ८ मार्च २०२६ रोजी पंतनगर (उत्तराखंड) येथील जी. बी. पंत कृषि आणि तंत्रज्ञान विद्यापीठ येथे आयोजित अखिल भारतीय समन्वयित संशोधन प्रकल्प – पशुधन यांत्रिकीकरण (AICRP on MAH) च्या वार्षिक कार्यशाळेच्या उद्घाटन समारंभात प्रदान करण्यात आला.

पशुधन यांत्रिकीकरण क्षेत्रात विद्यापीठाने केलेल्या संशोधन कार्याची दखल घेऊन हा प्रतिष्ठेचा पुरस्कार विद्यापीठाच्या केंद्राला प्रदान करण्यात आला. या पुरस्कारामुळे विद्यापीठाच्या यशाच्या शिखरावर आणखी एक मानाचा तुरा रोवला गेला असून मागील चार वर्षांत विद्यापीठाला मिळालेल्या सात पुरस्कारांनंतर हा आठवा ‘सर्वोत्कृष्ट संशोधन प्रकल्प (केंद्र)’ पुरस्कार ठरला आहे.

या यशाबद्दल माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी सांगितले की, संशोधन प्रकल्पाच्या माजी प्रमुख डॉ. स्मिता सोलंकी यांच्या अथक प्रयत्नांमुळे शेतीस उपयुक्त व शेतकरीप्रिय यंत्रे आणि अवजारांचा विकास झाला असून त्यामुळे केंद्राचा मोठ्या प्रमाणात विकास झाला आहे. यामुळे केंद्राची नावलौकिकता वाढून आज हे यश संपादन करता आले आहे, असे प्रतिपादन त्यांनी केले. तसेच माननीय कुलगुरूंनी संपूर्ण संशोधन पथकाचे अभिनंदन करत सांगितले की, पशुधन क्षेत्रात आधुनिक यांत्रिकीकरण व तंत्रज्ञान विकसित करून शेतकरी आणि पशुपालकांना अधिक कार्यक्षम व किफायतशीर उपाय उपलब्ध करून देण्याचे कार्य विद्यापीठ सातत्याने करत आहे. या पुरस्कारामुळे संशोधन कार्याला अधिक प्रेरणा मिळेल, असा विश्वासही त्यांनी व्यक्त केला.

हा मानाचा पुरस्कार जी. बी. पंत कृषि आणि तंत्रज्ञान विद्यापीठाचे माननीय कुलगुरू डॉ. एम. एस. चौहान यांच्या हस्ते प्रदान करण्यात आला. यावेळी भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद (ICAR) च्या कृषि अभियांत्रिकी विभागाचे उपमहासंचालक डॉ. एस. एन. झा तसेच भोपाळ येथील केंद्रीय अभियांत्रिकी संस्थेचे संचालक डॉ. सी आर मेहता, भोपाळ येथील केंद्रीय कृषि अभियांत्रिकी संस्था अंतर्गत अखिल भारतीय समन्वयित संशोधन प्रकल्प – पशुधन यांत्रिकीकरणचे प्रकल्प समन्वयक डॉ. एस. पी. सिंग, नवी दिल्ली येथील भारतीय कृषी अनुसंधान परिषदेच्या कृषी अभियांत्रिकीचे सहाय्यक संचालक डॉ. के. पी. सिंग आणि नवी दिल्ली भारतीय कृषी अनुसंधान परिषदेचे सहाय्यक संचालक (पशुविज्ञान) डॉ. हेमांद्री यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती.

मागील चार वर्षांपासून माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांच्या नेतृत्वात आणि नियमित मार्गदर्शनाखाली कार्यरत असलेल्या संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग, माजी संशोधन संचालक तसेच पशुधन अभियांत्रिकी विभागातील शास्त्रज्ञ व कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या संयुक्त प्रयत्नांचे हे यशस्वी फलित आहे.

हा पुरस्कार विद्यापीठाच्या वतीने अखिल भारतीय समन्वित संशोधन प्रकल्प - पशुसंवर्धनाचे यांत्रिकीकरण या योजनेचे प्रमुख डॉ. दयानंद टेकाळे (संशोधन अभियंता), डॉ. संदेश देशमुख (पशुशास्त्रज्ञ) आणि इंजी. अजय वाघमारे (वरिष्ठ तांत्रिक सहाय्यक) यांनी स्विकारला.

या उल्लेखनीय यशाबद्दल संशोधन संचालक डॉ. खिजर बेग, माजी संशोधन संचालक तसेच पशुधन अभियांत्रिकी विभागातील शास्त्रज्ञ व कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या संयुक्त प्रयत्नांचे सर्व स्तरातून कौतुक करण्यात येत आहे.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani, VNMKV, Parbhani has received total eight ‘Best Research Centre’ Awards

 

Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University’s All India Coordinated Research Project – Mechanization of Animal Husbandry (AICRP on MAH) center has been conferred the “Best Centre Award” for the year 2024–25 in recognition of its outstanding research contribution. The award was presented during the inaugural ceremony of the Annual Workshop of AICRP on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry, held on 7–8 March 2026 at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.

This prestigious award was conferred on the university’s centre in recognition of the significant research work carried out by the university in the field of animal husbandry mechanization. With this achievement, another feather has been added to the university’s crown of success, and it marks the eighth “Best Research Project (Centre)” award received by the University in the last four years, following the seven awards received earlier.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani stated that this achievement is the result of the tireless efforts of Dr. Smita Solanki, the former Principal Investigator of the research project. Due to her dedicated work, several farmer-friendly and agriculture-useful machines and implements were developed, which significantly contributed to the overall development of the centre. As a result, the reputation of the centre has increased, leading to the attainment of this success.

The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor also congratulated the entire research team and stated that the university has been consistently working to develop modern mechanization and technologies in the livestock sector, providing more efficient and cost-effective solutions to farmers and livestock keepers. He further expressed confidence that this award will serve as a strong motivation for future research activities.

The prestigious award was presented by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. M. S. Chauhan of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. On this occasion, Dr. S. N. Jha, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr. C. R. Mehta, Director of Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Dr. S. P. Singh, Project Coordinator of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry under Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Dr. K. P. Singh, Assistant Director (Agricultural Engineering) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, and Dr. Hemandri, Assistant Director (Animal Science) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, were prominently present.

This achievement is the successful outcome of the leadership and continuous guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani over the past four years, to the collective efforts of Director of Research Dr. Khizar Baig, the former Director of Research, and the scientists and staff of the Department of Livestock Engineering.

On behalf of the university, the award was received by Dr. Dayanand Tekale (Research Engineer), Dr. Sandesh Deshmukh (Animal Scientist), and Engg. Ajay Waghmare (Senior Technical Assistant), who are associated with the All India Coordinated Research Project on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry.

This notable achievement has been widely appreciated at all levels, recognizing the joint efforts of Director of Research Dr. Khizar Baig, former Directors of Research, and the scientists and staff of the Department of Livestock Engineering.
