राष्ट्रीय ग्रीन युनिव्हर्सिटी रँकिंग-२०२६ मध्ये वनाकृविला देशात १८ वे स्थान; 'गोल्ड' रेटिंगने गौरव

 यशाबद्दल ग्रीन मेंटर्स संस्थेने विद्यापीठाचे माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांचे केले अभिनंदन

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठ, परभणीने पर्यावरण संवर्धन, शाश्वत विकास आणि हरित कॅम्पस उभारणीच्या क्षेत्रात उल्लेखनीय कामगिरी करत नॅशनल ग्रीन युनिव्हर्सिटी रँकिंग (NGUR)-२०२६ मध्ये देशात १८ वे स्थान मिळविले आहे. विद्यापीठाला १०० पैकी ९१.६ गुणांसह 'गोल्ड' रेटिंग प्रदान करण्यात आले आहे. ही माहिती ग्रीन मेंटर्स संस्थेने विद्यापीठाला पाठविलेल्या अधिकृत पत्राद्वारे दिली आहे.

ग्रीन मेंटर्सतर्फे आयोजित करण्यात आलेली नॅशनल ग्रीन युनिव्हर्सिटी रँकिंग (NGUR)-२०२६ ही देशातील उच्च शिक्षण संस्थांच्या शाश्वत विकास, पर्यावरण व्यवस्थापन आणि हरित उपक्रमांचे मूल्यमापन करणारी राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील मानांकन प्रक्रिया आहे. या मूल्यमापनामध्ये शाश्वत प्रशासन, हरित परिसर, जैवविविधता, हवामान कृती, ऊर्जा कार्यक्षमता, संशोधन व नवोपक्रम, अभ्यासक्रमातील शाश्वतता, जलसंधारण, कचरा व्यवस्थापन, वाहतूक आणि समाजाभिमुख उपक्रम अशा दहा निकषांवर विद्यापीठांचे मूल्यांकन करण्यात आले.

विद्यापीठाच्या सादर केलेल्या कागदपत्रांचे, शाश्वत विकास उपक्रमांचे, पर्यावरणीय कामगिरीचे आणि विविध पुराव्यांचे सखोल परीक्षण करून ही मानांकन प्रक्रिया पार पडली. या मानांकनामुळे वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाच्या शाश्वत विकास, पर्यावरणपूरक कॅम्पस उभारणी आणि हरित शिक्षण क्षेत्रातील कार्याला राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर मान्यता मिळाली असून, विद्यापीठाला राष्ट्रीय तसेच आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील विविध शाश्वत विकास उपक्रम, संशोधन सहकार्य आणि परिषदांमध्ये सहभागी होण्याची संधी उपलब्ध होणार आहे.

या यशाबद्दल माननीय कुलगुरू प्रा. (डॉ.) इन्द्र मणि यांनी नमूद केले की, वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषि विद्यापीठाला राष्ट्रीय ग्रीन युनिव्हर्सिटी रँकिंग (NGUR)-२०२६ मध्ये देशात १८ वे स्थान आणि 'गोल्ड' रेटिंग प्राप्त होणे ही संपूर्ण विद्यापीठ परिवारासाठी अत्यंत अभिमानाची बाब आहे. हा सन्मान विद्यापीठातील प्राध्यापक, शास्त्रज्ञ, अधिकारी, कर्मचारी, विद्यार्थी, माजी विद्यार्थी तसेच सर्व हितधारकांच्या सामूहिक प्रयत्नांचे फलित आहे. पर्यावरण संवर्धन, जैवविविधतेचे संरक्षण, ऊर्जा बचत, जलसंधारण, हरित कॅम्पस निर्मिती आणि शाश्वत विकासाच्या दिशेने विद्यापीठाने सातत्याने राबविलेल्या उपक्रमांची ही राष्ट्रीय पातळीवरील दखल आहे. भविष्यातही राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरण-२०२० आणि शाश्वत विकास उद्दिष्टांच्या अनुषंगाने हरित, पर्यावरणपूरक आणि हवामान बदलास सक्षम असे विद्यापीठ उभारण्यासाठी आम्ही अधिक जोमाने कार्य करू.

VNMKV Ranked 18th in India in National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026; Awarded 'Gold' Rating

 

Green Mentors Congratulates Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani and the University on this Prestigious Achievement

 

Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani has achieved a remarkable milestone in the field of environmental conservation, sustainable development, and green campus initiatives by securing 18th rank nationally in the National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026. The University has been awarded a 'Gold' Rating with an impressive score of 91.6 out of 100. This was officially communicated to the University through a letter issued by Green Mentors, the organizing institution.

The National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026, conducted by Green Mentors, is a national-level assessment framework that evaluates higher educational institutions across India on their commitment to sustainability, environmental management, and green initiatives. Universities were assessed on ten comprehensive parameters, including sustainable governance, green campus development, biodiversity conservation, climate action, energy efficiency, research and innovation, sustainability in curriculum, water conservation, waste management, sustainable transportation, and community outreach activities.

The ranking process involved a rigorous evaluation of the University's submitted documents, sustainability initiatives, environmental performance, and supporting evidence. This recognition affirms VNMKV's outstanding contribution towards sustainable development, environmentally responsible campus management, and green education. The achievement is expected to provide the University with greater opportunities to participate in national and international sustainability initiatives, collaborative research projects, and global conferences on sustainable development.

Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Indra Mani said that securing the 18th position nationally along with a 'Gold' Rating in the National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026 is a matter of immense pride for the entire VNMKV family. He stated that the recognition is the result of the collective efforts of the University's faculty members, scientists, officers, employees, students, alumni, and all stakeholders. He added that the national recognition reflects the University's sustained commitment towards environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, energy conservation, water resource management, green campus development, and sustainable development. He further emphasized that the University will continue to work with greater dedication towards building a green, environmentally sustainable, and climate-resilient institution in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
