अमेरिकेतील प्रख्यात पशुवैद्यकीय विषाणूशास्त्रज्ञ डॉ. सुरेश के. मित्तल यांचा वनामकृविच्या विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद

 जागतिक स्तरावरील संशोधन, लस विकास आणि जैवतंत्रज्ञानातील संधींबाबत विद्यार्थ्यांना मार्गदर्शन

वसंतराव नाईक मराठवाडा कृषी विद्यापीठ, परभणी अंतर्गत लहाखेडी-पालोद (छत्रपती संभाजीनगर) येथील शासकीय कृषी महाविद्यालयात अमेरिकेतील पर्ड्यू विद्यापीठाचे प्रख्यात पशुवैद्यकीय विषाणूशास्त्रज्ञ आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर मान्यताप्राप्त संशोधक डॉ. सुरेश के. मित्तल यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधून त्यांना संशोधन, विषाणूजन्य रोगांचे नियंत्रण, लस विकास आणि जैवतंत्रज्ञानातील आधुनिक संशोधनाच्या संधींबाबत मार्गदर्शन केले. हा कार्यक्रम दि. १० ऑक्टोबर २०२६ रोजी आयोजित करण्यात आला होता.

डॉ. सुरेश के. मित्तल हे विषाणूजन्य रोग, लसींचा विकास आणि अ‍ॅडेनोव्हायरल व्हेक्टर तंत्रज्ञान या क्षेत्रांतील तज्ज्ञ आहेत. त्यांच्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय संशोधन अनुभवाचा विद्यार्थ्यांना लाभ मिळावा, तसेच कृषी आणि संलग्न विज्ञान क्षेत्रातील संशोधनाभिमुख दृष्टिकोन विकसित व्हावा, या उद्देशाने या संवादाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.

या संवादादरम्यान डॉ. मित्तल यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना संशोधन क्षेत्रातील नव्या संधी, वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन, आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील संशोधनाची दिशा आणि आधुनिक जैवतंत्रज्ञानाचे महत्त्व याविषयी मार्गदर्शन केले. विद्यार्थ्यांनी मूलभूत संकल्पनांचा सखोल अभ्यास करावा, प्रयोगशीलता वाढवावी आणि जागतिक स्तरावरील संशोधनातील प्रगतीशी स्वतःला जोडून घ्यावे, असे त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले.

यावेळी डॉ. मित्तल यांनी राष्ट्रीय कृषी संशोधन प्रकल्पांतर्गत (NARP) कार्यरत असलेल्या जैवकीटकनाशक संशोधन व उत्पादन केंद्रालाही भेट दिली. केंद्रातील जैवकीटकनाशकांच्या संशोधन, उत्पादन आणि उपयोगासंबंधीच्या कामकाजाची त्यांनी माहिती घेतली. कृषी क्षेत्रात पर्यावरणपूरक पीक संरक्षण तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर वाढविणे, रासायनिक कीटकनाशकांवरील अवलंबित्व कमी करणे आणि शाश्वत शेतीला प्रोत्साहन देणे या दृष्टीने अशा संशोधन केंद्रांचे महत्त्व त्यांनी जाणून घेतले.

या कार्यक्रमास महाविद्यालयाचे अधिष्ठाता डॉ. सुर्यकांत पवार, प्राध्यापक डॉ. दिलीप हिंगोले, शास्त्रज्ञ आणि विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते. आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील अनुभवी संशोधकाशी थेट संवाद साधण्याची संधी मिळाल्याने विद्यार्थ्यांना संशोधन क्षेत्रातील करिअरविषयी नवी दिशा आणि प्रेरणा मिळाली.

Eminent American Veterinary Virologist Dr. Suresh K. Mittal Interacts with VNMKV Students

Guides Students on Global Research, Vaccine Development and Opportunities in Biotechnology

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, October 10, 2026: Dr. Suresh K. Mittal, an eminent veterinary virologist and internationally recognized researcher from Purdue University, USA, interacted with students at the Government College of Agriculture, Lihakhedi-Palod, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, under Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV), Parbhani. During the interaction, he guided students on research, control of viral diseases, vaccine development, and emerging opportunities in modern biotechnology.

Dr. Mittal is an internationally renowned expert in viral diseases, vaccine development, and adenoviral vector technology. The programme was organized on October 10, 2026, with the objective of providing students with insights into his extensive international research experience and encouraging a research-oriented approach in agriculture and allied sciences.

During the interaction, Dr. Mittal highlighted emerging opportunities in research, the importance of scientific thinking, current trends in international research, and the significance of modern biotechnology. He emphasized that students should develop a thorough understanding of fundamental concepts, enhance their experimental skills, and stay abreast of advancements in global scientific research.

On this occasion, Dr. Mittal also visited the Biopesticide Research and Production Unit functioning under the National Agricultural Research Project (NARP). He reviewed the research, production, and application-related activities of the unit. He also gained insights into the importance of such research facilities in promoting eco-friendly crop protection technologies, reducing dependence on chemical pesticides, and advancing sustainable agriculture.

The programme was attended by Dr. Suryakant Pawar, Dean of the College; Dr. Dilip Hingole, faculty members, scientists, and students.
